Was Kasen Williams really better than Darboh though? I don't think so.
Some people sure thought so. And that he played better in pre-season was the criteria that matters over the sum of all others. Clearly it is not, but that was the basis of the argument.

All players look good in preseason because the players don't go at 100% like they do in the regular season.

And some players match up against 1st teamers. Some go against guys who won't make the team. Some WRs catch passes from the starting QB. Some are thrown to by a camp arm. Some players don't see the field a lot due to some injury. Some get more opportunity because other players are being held out. Lots of considerations/variables.

Oh yeah I know. The ones that really perform well as you mentioned make the team. Those players that commit unnecessary penalties or who just don't put forth the effort to make the team often times don't.

I disagree with that... A lot of players are going 100% because quite a few are playing for a starting role or on the fence whether they make the team or not...

I think the reason players look good is because the scheme's are very vanilla and basic in the preseason so it's much easier to make plays...

Darboh looked like total crap in the preseason going up against DB's they didn't make a team lol. He couldn't get open on a empty field. I would take a 5th rounder that shows promise over a 3rd that showed nothing.he played in 3 games and had 0 catches and he played a lot and the 4th game i think he played the WHOLE game and made 3 catches for 22 yards against DB's that did not make anyones team lol.

Sucks when i am so wrong about a guy, i was so excited when they drafted him. PR, Lockett, Tate all 2nd 3rd rounders and they showed something their rookie seasons they shows spark, fire they showed SOMETHING. Darboh showed NADA nothing.

Kasen Williams stats were 4 games, 9 rec, 208 Yards, 23.1 Average 52.0 Yards per game, and a long of 36 to lead the team.
Darbohs stats were 3 games, 3 rec ( all in the last game when he played almost the entire game ) 22 yards, 7.3 average, 7.4 yards per game, long of 10. ( they force fed him with short passes in the 4th game lol.)

Kasen Williams had JUST turned 25 that May 2017 (born 1992) so was still very young and he just looked like a stud out there. But yes i get it, it was preseason but he was cut in favor of Darboh who i am sorry wouldn't have made anyones team . Someone might have grabbed him but they would have released him after seeing him play. So why did the Seahawks hold onto him you ask? Because he is a beast at blocking for a WR, thats why. Can't have enough 3rd round blocking WR's on a team can we?

Williams was active for 10 games last season and played in 7. He had 9 Rec for 84 yards as a #4-#5 option at WR. Not good BUT Darboh was active for 16 games had 8 rec for 71 yards. So thats the ugly Nothing good, but bad and UGLY! Also Williams has red flags for his injury history but Darboh might as well have been on the IR all season long lol.

Every preseason there is always one guy that just explodes on the scene and almost every single time those guys make the team even if only short term ( Justin Forsett anyone ) And there are high draft picks that make you say OMFG BUST. I think we would have got twice the production out of Williams than we got from Darboh and he could have learned how to actually play WR on the PS.

If Darboh make something of himself in the NFL i will pat him on the back and say you earned it. His parents were killed in a civil war and he was adopted so he has been through a lot. I wish him luck but he didn't look like he would ever be able to play at this level last year. Not even close. At least Williams ( all though injury pron ) looked the part.

We've been through this before. Your characterization of how much Darboh played is inaccurate (especially through the first 2 or 3 games of the pre-season), and the crap you say is so rife with hyperbole that you just sound like a blowhard hater most of the time.

Don't have to imagine all you have to do is look at the 2012-2014 seasons lol

I think the running game will be good this year. Better than it has been the last couple years easy. I think most of that will come from the improved Oline play because of that deadbeat OLine coach Cable being GONE! Still think the Hawks messed up resigning Bennett ( not hindsight, i was right back then also ) and used that money elsewhere oh like Oline help but Cable has regressed some of these better blockers skills and i saw it play out on the field as you all did it was bad.

Things that worry me a little is how the new OC's run game works. Bevell's rungame was a good one and blocking killed it. Lets hope this New guys run game takes advantage of the improved line play.

you know who i totally forgot about? Jaron Brown, he will be fine at WR for us. 20-30 catches 300-400 yards maybe a TD or 3. I also forgot the that Hawks signed him as a UDFA his rookie season (2013) and then released him. That is if he makes the team. I hope Moore Steps up this season and takes a spot.

Seahawks receiver Tyler Lockett played all 16 games last season, staying on the field for 64.8 of the offensive snaps. But he was not 100 percent after his gruesome right leg injury on Christmas Eve in 2016.

Lockett now is fully healthy, and the Seahawks are expecting a big year.

“It’s really been a blessing for him to be able to get his legs back underneath him,’’ Carroll said, via Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times. “Last year was a struggle for him, the offseason for certain, but throughout the season itself he was not able to do things in the same manner that he had done it in years past, and that’s really just workload. He just couldn’t do as much, had to take care of his legs more. So he’s back at it; he’s really playing fast; he has no restrictions of any kind of after effects of the surgery of last year or since he’s been hurt. So that’s a real positive. He looked great [Thursday] in particular.’’

Paul Richardson‘s departure has left an opening for a starting receiver spot, with Lockett looking to win the job.

This is great news. We're gonna need him to step up in place of Paul Richardson.
