Agree. He started off great, but he tailed off greatly as the season
progressed last year. Even the VPI fans were irked with him.

According to sources, it was the 3rd time he had been caught cheating and it was something that could no longer be ignored.

Isn't that a photo of the coach that didn't tell the Baylor coach
about Sam Ukwuachu's past when he was urging Baylor to take
him as a transfer?

While not a superstar, he was at least a stop gap with a decent football IQ. If what @jeffro151 is saying is true, with 3 reported instances of cheating, which I've not heard before, then that is 3 times too many and should have been dealt with on the first instance, per the honor code. And if true, he should no longer be a part of the team or university, PERIOD!

If there are multiple instances that can be proven of him cheating, then I want a review of the honor court with admonishment/discipline, as I want all to follow the rules, regardless if they're athletes. Cheating (if that is true) should come with probation/expulsion, period.

I appreciate that and while I'm not a frequent poster, I do check in daily. I've read the back and forth you and cam have had and choose to stay out of the bickering, as I'm sure you know I never engage in.

As for the current topic, it does surprise me that he's having issues since it's been long touted that he has strong family ties to collegiate coaching and mentorship. If he indeed cheated, even if once, I expect he should be placed on academic probation, removed from team activities, and/or expelled. The local paper is saying that he isn't on indefinite suspension at this time and allowed to participate in team activities, with his father stating his fate will be known in a couple days. I certainly don't like the term 'fate' being used regarding the season prospects, but as a professor, I'm much more concerned with academics over athletics.

Jackson was about to lose his job anyways. He was losing out to a walk-on in the spring. I'm more worried about the 2 starting CBs that we lost last week than Jackson, although Jackson would have made a damn good backup if he decided to stay after losing the job.

This was the second time from what i've been hearing with this time most likely being a foot in the ass out of the door.....which i am fine with. It's been said in the past that he's lazy anyways and i don't want that kind of mentality leading my foozeball team.

I agree that I'm more worried about the DB situation. Jackson was a stop gap and hopefully those waiting behind step up.

yea i read awhile back that he's been accused of being lazy at practice and in the film room. i think Fuente even insinuated that publicly at some point not too long ago (maybe during spring practices?)

Willis is apparently a douchebag though behind the scenes. A rumor is going around that he and Oscar Bradburn (sophomore Australian punter for you non-VT fans) apparently got in a fight at some point and Bradburn beat the shit out of him lulz
