teams by total wins instead of best winning percentage.

The 2nd list...(The all-time one 1869-2017) ranks the teams
by winning pct, not total wins.

Winning 10 more games doesn't make you better than another team
if you have lost 20 more games.

Sorry, in the world of statistics, you can't draw any conclusions from this. Everybody would have to play the same teams in same instance which is impossible. Even if it was possible, everybody would have to play those teams thousands of times to show statistical significance. It's interesting, but means nothing.
