No team should ever be able to win a Cup in year one. It would absolutely wreak of being rigged.

Check it out. Vegas hired Gerard Gallant, ex-Panthers' head coach, who is largely credited with their success this season and will most certainly win coach of the year. They also stole Marchessault, a 30+ goal scorer who was left unprtected, and then Smith for just a 4th round pick from that same Panther squad.

Well, those two players are their top two scorers this postseason and that's just one of the teams they fleeced during the expansion draft. This shit just stinks all the way through.

Every other team works its arse off to make the playoffs and they get to walk to the cup. ON top of it they don't have to protect anyone in the next expansion draft and have 24 or so million in cap space. Sounds like teams should not sign guys like Tavares best to grab two 4-5 M guys who are hungry and roll 4 lines.

I’d be willing to use a 1st round pick to get him. Don’t want to move a prospect, but I would move that pick.
