2 months left boys.

We could do it.

This off season actually feels faster than previous years

I am reduced to watching indy league baseball.
In some ways, I guess rooting for the Vegas hockey team sounds fun but I never rooted for a pro hockey team since 1957 when I first heard a radio broadcast of a Fort Wayne Komets game.

Absolutely nothing happening. OTA's and mini-camps... Every team putting together feel good pieces for the fans about how swimmingly everything is going with the new FA's and rookies. :gaah:

If I had a baseball team that had been competitive within the last 5 seasons - it wouldn't be so bad. Maybe if I also didn't think the basketball season was completely decided (GS will win and you're gullible if you think differently, IMO).

2 months or so until the first camps open? I guess I'll just have to... ya know... get a life or something for the first half of the summer. What a nightmare :tsk:
But hey, we're getting big time Johnny Manziel CFL coverage!

:trash:

It's the long part for sure. Draft is done, free agency's mainly done. Things should pick up again now in the early part of the summer.

I am watching basketball and baseball now. You are right about the football stories. The team pages are full of stuff that is obvious the writers are having difficulty coming up with material

lol yah... but at least we got the NBA Finals (which are also terrible so far this year), Golf is having the Major tournaments, and MLB is in action. And of course we're only a few months away from Preseason.

The worst moment for me is like Feb-early April. NFL is quiet... okay you have free agency but that's generally kind of boring IMO... pretty obvious where most players are going and/or not going because of salary cap, etc. Baseball isn't happening, too cold for Golf, and nobody cares about the regular season for NBA anymore since there's zero surprise of who will make it to the playoffs or win it for that matter.

Feb through Mid-March to me. Since I do enjoy March madness, but I agree that's the biggest dead period. Baseball is still in spring training. NBA/NHL is in the dog days of the regular season. NFL season is over and the new season has yet to officially start with free agency.

I am a big baseball fan, but the White Sox are in this tedious phase of a rebuild. Where they have the talent, but it's all in the farm system except for like 3 guys. They're patched together with non-prospect career AAA guys in their mid-late 20's and washed out veterans. Moncada having a big day and Reynaldo Lopez throwing a gem (like yesterday) is the only consolation.

More optimistic for the Bears in 2018 than the White Sox or Bulls. Which is really saying something, because the Bears are still in rebuild as well. Just a little more positive vibes swirling lately. Bulls stuck the 7th pick in the lottery, so that's not really fun either.

NBA playoffs ain't doing it for me... sorry. I do like fantasy baseball and bet some action on a game here and there. UEFA Champions League final is Saturday in soccer. But eh... it's soccer. I like it, but it's like 5th on my list.

Ah yah I forget about March Madness cause I am just not a fan.

Yeah, it's even worse than the final days of SB and draft coverage. Instead of 4-5 days where you have redundant story-lines and hyper focus on nonsense. It's spread over 2 months.

I suppose this is primetime season for players getting arrested, though. lol

The thought of Terrance Williams riding a scooter hammered after crashing his Lambo kept me entertained for a few minutes.

No love for Hockey hey Shark.

But as a Fan.. I'm Pissed Vegas has gone so far (and My Canucks are still Cupless thanks to those damn posts) but it is kinda cool.

@Duke of Douchington was showing some stuff in the Conference thread.

NHL Power Rankings: 2017-18 preview and predictions

NHL predictions for 2017-18: Final standings, playoff projections and Stanley Cup pick

Not a single name player on Their roster Expect for Fluery

True Underdogs all year

Now there 4 games away from winning the cup

Yah I hear ya... hockey is definitely goin'... one would think I would've picked up the Blackhawks since they were doing great when I moved here and Seattle doesn't have a team (least since the early 20th Century)...but alas, never did. Used to watch hockey a bit more when I was a teenager but it's died off for me =(

Anyway, Football, golf, baseball are my sport interests atm and none of that is active during those months.

Yea, up until training camp it is dull. We will hear about those no name OTA warriors who shine when the pads are off and then disappear halfway through training camp
