President Trump, then a private citizen and property developer, lobbied to try and prevent the mandate at the time.

I sat downtown this morning and watched the sun come up and the rain wash away both the hope and despair of the previous day. And also what looked like half of chocolate eclair. The rain almost washed it to a sewer drain but at the last second a rat grabbed it. Well done rat. I nodded in approval and he nodded back.

Finally my friend Jones Falls showed up, slightly dragging his right leg - his body beginning to give out after almost seven decades. I pushed him his coffee and he sat. I caught a whiff and it was not pleasant. Old Jones Falls doesn't know much or care much about hygiene, but he does know horses.

Gonna be a muddy one today he told me, but also told me it don't matter - they can't stop Justify. Only one who can is Quip because he's been seeing Robinson Cano's doctor. Allegedly. He told me to keep an eye on Lone Sailor because he's a sneaky horse, whatever that means.

We shook hands and he got up and said he would see me again before the Belmont. I drank my coffee, got up and left.

Only 40 times more likely?!? Sounds awesome! Obviously there is no problem here.

Only hundreds of kids being killed. They're safer than combat personel so we're all good.

Seriously though, lots of these kids are probably pretty bad kids, some may even be minorities.

As Mr. Patrick greeted parishioners at Arcadia First Baptist Church on Sunday morning, he got an enthusiastic greeting from Robert Ross, 69, who has lived in Santa Fe all his life and has a nephew who once played football with the gunman. Mr. Ross said he believed the solution to school violence was not gun control, but faith. He blamed the shooting on what he called a cultural decay exemplified by legal abortion, gay marriage and the separation of church and state.

“We wonder why this is happening,” he said. “Satan’s right there. He’s always putting his foot in everything.”
