The more I watch, the more I see. People who disbelieve that the NFL has become less sport and more entertainment were probably also slow to believe the same about pro wrastlin'. There's enough crap going on to make Pete Rose look like a saint.

According to profootballtalk.com, the first one was filed for 49erssafety Eric Reid “against the Bengals and all clubs hemay have spoken with.

How soon before Alt Left players start holding guns to owners heads demanding to be signed?

They are already trying to do that in a way by suggesting it is collusion by the owners. It isn't collusion, it is just smart business men knowing what investment is not worth risking their business for. That is all there is to it. These are billionaires who got to be billionaires by being smart and knowing when to walk away from a deal. Carolina's owner sees the writing on the wall. Maximize return while franchises are valued higher than ever before before things start crashing down around the league from all this non-sense.

This is meaningless.... Compare television ratings. Compare website hits. Baseball isn't even close to football. A 'satisfaction' index is meaningless. Television ratings for every sport are going to dip - Too many good things to do with time. The kneeling business has not caused this to happen - It's just a convienent excuse for white people to feel outraged.

I am absolutely not outraged by minority folk wanting to make sure everyone gets equal opportunities and rights. It is about HUMAN RIGHTS not white rights. However, with that said, there is a time and place, and I respect NO ONE that disrespects my country, my flag, my God. Plus, I think you are completely reading this article wrong. These are not satisfaction ratings, these are TV RATINGS.

From the end of August to the beginning of September, ratings for the NFL were seen to have dropped from 57 percent to 44 percent, with the unfavorable rating for the league at 40 percent, which is the highest among any big sport.

If you want to support a cause, do it in a way that strengthens your brand while standing next to another strong brand (this country and its flag). After all, these folks want THIS COUNTRY to change its stance on equality and rights, and that will only be met with disdain and blow back if they want to keep pitting themselves against the country. You either stand with this country and seek change from within, or you stand against it, and what you get is a civil war (of sorts).

In 10 years you can look back and see how Colin Kaepernick helped destroy a powerful empire by simply taking a knee in disrespect.

The only thing I will disagree with is that it's not all on CK. The NFL as a whole failed to make a stand and put this to bed. Instead they hem-and-hawed around allowing this issue to linger, causing more and more damage as it continued.

Had they simply put this to bed early, as a league, I believe that they could have cut off a lot of those people who (many were already on the edge) decided enough was enough, and flipped the switch to "off".

Crash - Please read this very misleading article closer. They are intentionally conflating television ratings with 'favorability' ratings that are assessed via survey. It's clickbate and completely fraudulent. Hell, its even labeled an advertisement. It's meant to support people's feelings of outrage. Baseball television ratings aren't even a fraction of NFL ratings. And they probably never will be.

Polls | The Winston Group

Read more about it if you like.... Essentially the survey entails looking at "brand images." It has nothing to do with television. I think this qualifies as "Fake News."

I dont know why the bangles are getting sued. They have done nothing wrong. And yes if any pro sports asks you to
stand up and not take to your kneese. Listen to the bosses.
Because they feel it is not right thing to do.

So that's it? We just listen to the boss, no matte what? Even if they intend to infringe upon our constitutional rights? That's an odd perspective.

Well, it is misleading and worded very poorly in my opinion. They make it sound like they are providing actual ratings in one area and then as a comparison the favor ability rating in the following sentence. So if that is the case, I guess I was led astray and apologize.

So this only relates to branding and the likeability of that brand? Has absolutely nothing to do to with TV ratings what so ever?

Yep.... Essentially, they take a room full of people and show them product logos and ask how much they like it. You can imagine how many factors go into an individual making this sort of rating. It's basically a bullshit, clickbate type of report meant to capitalize on the idea that football is in trouble.

2 totally different sports and difficult to compare.

165 season games vs 16 season games
all that ad revenue has to squeeze into those season games, pre, post.

I would be all for people losing interest in the NFL. The Bengals have turned to absolute shit. Should I go get some exercise, or mow my lawn, or have lunch with the family, take them swimming or to KI, or sit around and watch the Bengals play like shit? It's becoming less and less of a desirable option.

Went there a few years ago... First time in ages. Ridiculous prices, fat people with no teeth, and airhead employees. Was it always that bad or has society just gone down hill?

The fact that our organization is okay with guys that punch women and spit at officers, but not okay with someone staging a nonviolent protest that doesn't hurt anyone is pretty sad. That's just my opinion. Flog away.

can't argue there you do got a point

when the Eagles signed Michael Vick, I was voting Republican and all that jazz, but I kind of just accepted him as a "all I care about is what he does on the field"

I guess I have grown out of that thought. I want them to be great on and off the field.
