The seeds are based on the career rushing yards. The format is the same as the Heisman one on the CFB Forum. However, I am leaving this to be from Sunday to Saturday.

Question for the poll: Which RB had a better career?

The winner of 1st matchup wins rematches.
Higher seed wins in case of a draw.

Let me know what you think of the bracket. I kind of don't like it because it seems odd that Jim Brown and Walter Payton will most likely meet in the 2nd round and Barry Sanders in on the same side.

But it is also an offseason thing and just interesting seeing the different players matched up. These mean nothing but entertainment every so often, depending on the matchup.

If enough people don't like it, I will create another kind of bracket. If hardly anybody cares how the bracket is, then I will continue it.

Dickerson. had 4 seasons in his career where he averaged over 100 yds a game, including that eye-popping 2K+ 1984 season where he averaged just over 131 rushing yards per game, having played in all 16 games that season. Dorsett only averaged over 100 yds/game once, in 1981.

I saw the very tale end of Dorsett's career and caught pretty much the beginning of Dickerson's as a teenager in the 80s. To this day, I'm not sure if I've seen a more talented/gifted RB than Eric Dickerson.

As awesome as Dorsett was, Eric Dickerson might be the very best pure runner of all time.

Dickerson might have been the best player in the NFL for 4 or 5 seasons of his career. On the short list, for sure.

Dorsett just more all purpose yardage but I just dont think he is quite on that level.

I'll take Dickerson. The Colts stupidly ran the F out of him... but for the period when Dickerson was running healthy, he was one of if not the best (all positions).

TD was more of a dual threat than Dickerson. But from a pure "RB" standpoint even I would have to go with Dickerson. Just watch the 1985 NFC playoff game between the Rams and the Cowboys.

Of course for balance, you should also watch the next round game between the Rams and the Bears. It had a different outcome.
