There were 26,000 fans at last night's game. There were even some Reds fans there.

Walked up to the concession stand and you could hear the crowd roaring as their team was in the midst of another rally. You'd think the home team Reds were mounting a comeback, but sadly it was the majority celebrating another rout.

As far back as 2006 when I first saw the Reds at GABP, there were a lot of Cubs fans there. So that's just an extension of the system. When tickets go on sale, on the internet, fans are gonna buy them. I usually have a good feeling with a split but the 10-0 game reminded me that this team really will lose 100 games. What folly we felt.

Well at least they are at home for 3 games against the Pirates... I think.

I thought it was interesting how terrible and how offended that the Cubs and their fans were when Garrett screamed after he struck out Baez.. Have you ever watched Cubs reliever Pedro Strop after he strikes someone out...

I know All the Cubs fans say it was the stare down, but Baez was mouthing, and Garrett was reacting to that....

Damn everyone knows that Baez is going to be swinging form his heels, and Mahle gives him one, right in his wheel house.....

If asshole Rizzo stays in the dugout it's a yack-job.

The Holy Grail Tavern is a Reds bar across the street from GABP. WLW anchors their OD and other Reds sports talk coverage there. Last night the DJ played the Cubs fight song. That's when you know a franchise has sunken to a new low.

It can't get much lower than that, can it?

What a sad time for the Reds, But the up side is, that we have 5 of our 8 home games out of the way.

On Friday night, There was a obnoxious drunk Cubs fan screaming on every pitch. You could here him clearly on TV. I was surprised they didn't show the guy the way out.
Which brings back memories of the BRM days. I remember there was a lot of drinking back in those days. Beer was cheaper and they didn't have a cut off inning like they do now. If someone drank a little to much. You would see about 8 policemen come walking down the aisle and escort the person out. Back then it was common to have 40-45 thousand to a game on a Sunday'

I was at a game at Wrigley a couple of years ago -- 99 degrees in the shade and a full stadium. Not many people in the main grandstand were drinking all that much. Lots of kids, though, and an older crowd where we were. The beer is too expensive and I don't think the vendors were even able to get to our section before they sold out of brew.

I recall having a lot of beer at the minor league games a million years ago. Not so much now. I'd rather watch the game than stand in line for food or drink.

But I think some of the fans who go to the games are already plastered before they get there. The ticket takers are in no position to care and it's hard to tell who's loaded until the game gets going. A couple more beers and it's lights out for some lightweights.

I always liked to go uptown and spend the afternoon getting a nice buzz on, before I walked down to the game, but I drank slow and just injoyed myself. never was what you call drunk. but I don't do it much anymore because, while I was never drunk, and even 3 to 4 hours after my last beer. I would still probably show over the limit on a breathalyzer, Doesn't take much anymore, Anyway I don't want to take that chance. plus and sadly, I don't have the taste for it anymore.

I enjoy a couple of crafts at the brauhaus down the block and that beer has a bit of a kick (7 pct.) ... so I can't get lit-up. But I can walk if I want. I still get a little hangover. At my age, I don't recover. I wouldn't even drink beer at the ballpark. I'm in agreement -- no taste for it. I'd rather just watch the game.
