Just read that the Arkansas women's tennis team finished 10 and 16 but needed to be at least 500 to make the NCAA tennis tournament. So, they learned from Alabama (Mercer late in the season, although scheduled previously) and scheduled (at the last minute) Tennessee State to play six matches in one day (how does that work?) Winning all six they are now eligible to be selected. Tennessee State may be able to fund their entire sports program for what they must have been paid.

8/10 on finding a way to complain about Alabama.

Impressive.

And thank god those late season FCS games are making us eligible to win National Championships.

Wouldn’t scheduling scrub teams after the normal regular specifically for post season eligibility be more of an ACC thing?

Didn't Florida state do that this past football season to get bowl eligible?

Yes they are, and too bad that does not work for UCF. It is not that I am anti-Alabama, it just that they should be embarrassed for doing so. Just scheduling a Group 5 conference team would do the trick instead of an FCS team. If that is too much of a risk then at least schedule North Dakota.

A lot of teams do if they get a game postponed or cancelled.

Oregon State did it 2012 when a Hurricane didn't permit Nicholls State to leave Louisiana for the 2nd game
of the year. The two clubs decided to play the game the final week of the season IF Oregon St wasn't in
the Pac12 Title Game and Nicholls St wasn't in the FCS playoffs. They wound up playing it.

Florida and LSU were rained out two years ago and then discovered after they didn't play the game
on the following Sunday that you need 8 league games to qualify to win a division title. So they each
had to cancel a game. LSU had to cancel South Alabama and Florida had to cancel Presbyterian.
So Ala received 1.5 mil from LSU and Presbyterian got their guarantee of 600K from Florida. THEN
So Alabama agreed to pay Presbyterian all of its travel money and they went to So Ala and played them.
Both those teams made out well.

Indiana lost a game with FIU last year and played Charleston Southern on their home date.

FIU scheduled a game with UMASS on Dec 2nd

UCF cancelled its game with Ga Tech and added Austin Peay on its open date.

USF, UCONN, UCF, Cincinnati, East Carolina and Houston all rescheduled multiple games
last year.

It's pretty common for teams to get in their 12 games and reschedule postponed games.

11 years later, this still hurts!!! You can only lose, never play a game where even when you win you lose.

Technically we didn't schedule Ohio State, the playoff committee did

We should have just played Alabama 12 times this season and claimed a national championship.

We play fucking Ball State next year. Alabama plays The Citadel.

Sagarin rank:
Ball State - 194
The Citadel - 173

Please stop with this shit. It's annoying...
