Hmm... okay? Gonna be real interesting if they sign Beckham and then the contracts of Goff, Gurley, Donald, and resigning of Beckham all hit... good luck managing that. Guess Talib can just get released next year.

Beckham IMO is a locker room distraction and wants way too much money. I don't really get this move by the Rams. They have a very young team they can build around. All depends on what they give up for Beckham. If it costs them a 2nd rounder this year to try and make a run, I say go for it and let him walk after.

Personally I think the Rams are a few pieces away from a Super Bowl, but who knows.

It's where he wants to be

The Giants GM sucks so far, so I don't trust the return

Rams should do everything in their power to trade him, even if it means only getting a 3rd or something. The Giants are not going to be competitive this year. They lost Pugh, lost Pierre-Paul and Manning is basically grinding metal at this point (if anyone gets the movie ref A+).

The last thing you want to do is give him a contract and then when your new QB comes in he'll probably be bitching 24/7 he isn't getting enough looks or something, thus fucking with the new QB development.

Trade him asap is the correct move. Talented WR, but a complete nut job. And someone tell that fuckhead his hair sucks ass.

They better not do it for a 3, the Giants are in a position of strength here, absolutely no positive side to just giving him up for nothing. The guy will still win football games almost single handidly when he is healthy, despite all the baggage

Mmm doubt he'll get more than a 3rd or LATE 2nd... it's a 1 year deal with a guy who will DEFINITELY go to free agency and the highest bidder if you don't give him a mega contract (Calvin Johnson-esque) which essentially sunk the Lions into mediocrity for the duration.

People WAY overvalue players and what it means for picks. If Beckham had a reasonable contract for another 3-4 years, now we're talking 1st round status.

There's been separate threads on Earl Thomas stating Seattle wants a 1st and/or people thinking he should get a first... he's been on the block for over a month, nobody has budged. IMO he's a 3rd and maybe a 5th/6th sweetener.

First things first.. Daaam

Suh needs to sign. Then we can worry about what we have to give up to get Odell.

I don't think that's accurate, between tags and stuff, the Giants can retain him till he's 30. I'm sure something one way or the other, it wouldn't work out that way, but he's not an unrestricted FA after this season

Da fuq is this shit? TMZ?

"The Rams hypothetically could give the Giants their 23rd overall pick in this year’s first round, a later round pick and perhaps wide receiver/kick returner Tavon Austin, who has just one year at an $8 million cap hit remaining on his restructured deal. Austin, 28, is dynamic but didn’t see much action in McVay’s offense in 2017."

We already gave up our 2nd rounder this year and EJ Gaines for Sammy Watkins last year.. Now we gonna give up our 1st rounder this year for Odell?

My feelings on the cap are well known....

I don't like acquiring big $ free agents. I can live with trades.

Obviously everything Sean McVay learned about football he learned from playing Madden with the salary cap turned off.

Man if this happens,

Seattle Seahawk fans must be thinking "bottom of the division" for the next couple years cause everyone else in the division is making huge improvements while their front office is slashing payroll and players!

I hope it happens...basically ensures the Rams won't win the SB. Oh, and....it's a great move to get the guy out of New York....of all places though.....Los Angeles?

Everyone is going to have some interest at this point and I'm sure nearly every GM in the league has asked the Giants about OBJ.

Rams will definitely entertain the idea of grabbing him but ultimately I don't think it's a good idea for them because of the draft capital it'll cost and the amount of money he's going to command. They've already given up a lot of valuable draft capital in getting Goff and Watkins and giving up even more to get OBJ is playing with fire.
