I won't lie, I'm not very thrilled about it, but Vikes @ Eagles NFC Championship rematch is easily the most marketable game to open the season with. Of course the NFL couldn't resist that after the Vegas favored Vikings got destroyed in Philly along with Cousins joining Minnesota and Foles likely starting week 1 for Philly.
I like the Vikings' chances much better in an early regular season game than a road playoff game in Philly, but I still can't even remember the last time Minnesota wasn't soundly beaten by Philly. It's likely to be a very big game for both teams with potential tie-breaker implications in the playoffs.

I guess the NFC Championship game rematch makes sense, but I thought 99% sure it would be an NFC East team and 90% sure it would be Dallas.
All kidding aside, I got a huge feeling the chip on the Vikings shoulder is gonna be huge for this game!
The Vikings will need that chip on their shoulder if they want to beat Philly. Just like last season, the NFC teams that scare me the most are Philly and New Orleans. I would add the Packers due strictly to Aaron Rodgers, but I think Green Bay is a season or two away from taking the NFC North back from the Vikings unless Mike Zimmer's defense totally implodes or Kirk Cousins plays below average.
Good Point. Plus we don't want to crush that Super Bowl high in week one. We'll play you a couple weeks later and let it linger a little longer...There trying to boost ratings, that would've only lowered the standards even more.....

And Lurie could give him the $10M for convincing all of the other teams to finally let the Eagles win. Come on, did you really think Nick Foles could win you a SBThough it would've been cool if they had scheduled the Cowgirls to visit Philly opening night, and Uncle Jerry was to meet the commish at mid field to exchange the $2 million dollar fine levied by our beloved commish.....

Who do we face week 2?
