With the cap space you have it was unlikely you were going to spenders in free agency. But they should get some high comp picks next year.

Ya but the other team i bleed is on a rebuild(i think) and is becoming a shell of themselves thus a laughing stock.

Comps might help but rough year next in a division that is tough and going to get tougher next

It's never easy to watch I still remember when the Niners lost nearly every starter except Bryant Young on their way to drafting Alex Smith, that was rough.

Hell yeah, we need to keep Sheldon also...
Richardson gone now, Off to Minnesota on a one year deal. How did that work out? A receiver, a second round pick and swap of 7's for one season and nothing to show for it. really could have used that 2nd rounder this year.

I know, Sheldon was a guy I thought they'd lock up, things are getting interesting for sure, Seattle just got another safety, Rams safety Maurice Alexander, so I'm seriously thinking Earl is going to Dallas, and we might hear about a deal soon....

It's the cost of opportunity. I was pumped when we traded for Richardson because I knew he would make that DL a force to be reckoned with when teamed up with MB, Avril, and Frank Clark. It's just too bad all the injuries show up and didn't really let us see what it could have been. I am still glad they made the move though. Went for it.

Injuries and a bad FG kicker doomed this team. Just part of the game. I still think we'll still be able to compete next year.

Yeah, despite no OL/running game to speak of and a mountain of critical injuries on defense, this team was 2 field goals from 11-5 and maybe even 3 from 12-4. It's interesting to think about how we would look at the season with easy field goals made in those games where Walsh tubed it. I also wonder if the FO would be handling things the same way, specifically cutting Sherm & trading Bennett and whatever else is next.

I think if Seattle made the playoffs the coaching staff would still be here and but Sherm, PRich and Graham are still gone cause of the lack of cap money. Bennett imo would have been 50/50 on traded. We all want the Hawks to win the SB but missing out on the playoffs might be a blessing in disguise to retool the coaching staff, turnover the roster to get younger and get an upgrade at kicker.

So long as Wilson stays healthy, this team will never be in full 'rebuild' mode.
