Charity point for Bednar as a thank you for the Calder Cup a few years back

Winnipeg has put NJ down, and Boston beat Philly. That puts us 1 behind NJ and 4 behind Philly.

Keep it going, boys. Please god let Bob get over his illness soon. .

AND - Markus Nutivaara skated with the team today and Kukan has been skating on his own. Hopefully they should be back soon. Johnson (directly responsible for the the third Avs goal) will sit I hope.

I mainly listen to 97.1 on my way home from work, and sometimes at lunch. I don't remember hearing them slam the trade.

McElligot was talking about it on the radio broadcast last night how he had gotten barraged with calls on his show about how awful the trade was.

Plus there's another forum I go to where people were vicious. All praise today.

Oh, well, yeah...there's a lot of stupid fans out there. They want huge trades without sacrificing anything important. It just doesn't work that way in real life.

One comment I saw at the other forum was along the lines of "why would we give up Jokinen who doesn't score but backchecks for a guy who doesn't score and doesn't backcheck?"

I just shake my head sometimes.

McElligott was funny. He was mocking the callers hard when Vanek scored the second.

Looking at the Calendar, we face Philly on Thursday. We are two points behind. We have Montreal on Monday. And Philly has Nashville and Vegas before we meet.

NJ is one behind us and their next 7 games are:
Nashville
Vegas
LA
Anaheim
San Jose
Pittsburgh (all on the road)
Tampa at home.

And we're 4 behind WSH and 5 behind Pitt with two of our 10 final games against teams currently in playoff position and four of them are at home.

If you're gonna get hot, this is the time to do it.

I mocked the decision, but the kid played sooo strong. Nothing he could have done on any of the goals and he probably stopped 3 that he had no business getting to. A strong performance.

The worst part about being in the Arena is getting info is harder.

Noticed Nutivaara out there in the first and thought "Yay! Johnson must be sitting!". But no, it was Murray. Apparently he is a bit banged up.

Then, in the third, you couldn't help but notice Jones wasn't to be found. Didn't hear anything about why.

But the good thing about being in the arena is this happened like right in front of me:

"Dude, you're down by 3, what are you doing?"
