He had a neck injury that landed him on IR last year, but I don't think he had any issue with it prior to that.

Funny you guys talk about teams outbidding NE just to keep them away....Reports are that is why BB traded for JMaC...I also think BB is letting teams overpay for guys he has no interest in Signing..

Quiet on the Brown, Kenny V front....I like that. IF NE starts to move money by restructuring or cuts...then you know something is happening.

Random thought....Russell Okung LT Seattle Seahawks is 28 and a free agent. He's supposedly visited a few teams including the Giants, who, of course, signed Solder. Is BB waiting for his price to drop?? If anything, I'd expect it to go up after Solder's monster deal......

I speculate there may be some of both.
some agents may be using a perceived Patriots interest to drive up the cost of their client, and some teams may be overpaying to ensure a player does not go to New England.

Or back to New England.

Okung is not a FA. He signed a 4 year deal with the Chargers last offseason that made him the highest paid OL in the league (until Norwell and Solder passed him this week).

NFL.com has him listed as a free agent as of this morning. I was looking at who the remaining free agents were and he was listed about 19th or 20th on that list.

Nobody said you're making things up. Nobody's trying to discredit you. I've never been unpleasant or discordial. I've explained to you before why I point out factually incorrect information. E.g., there's no point in having a discussion about Russell Okung as a free agent target when he's not a free agent. You're not fostering good discussion on the board by splattering it with every incorrect tidbit you think you've read or heard or jotted down in your notebook. I can't help it if you suck at vetting your information.

You could've been a grown-up and accepted the fact that you made a mistake when it was pointed out to you the first time. Instead you chose to double down on it. Admitting mistakes isn't a hard thing. You can usually learn from them. I can't help it if you choose not to.
