Wait until we get thru the first rush of FA. If he hasn't fixed any holes come the draft and OTAs then I'll have to agree with you.

So far the only real losses are Solder and Lewis. Both getting way more then BB would be willing to pay.

DA will be missed but NE is flush on WRs.
Butler we knew was gone and personally I don't think we'll miss him once NE figures out their #2 corner.
But the Pats took 2 OTs in last years draft and while Lewis is a loss they still retain three other backs. They also drafted DE and LBs the last few drafts some of which are showing potential.

I suspect the Pats will draft
CB
LB
QB
with first three picks.

This team is not "gutted." That's just absurd hyperbole.

We all love Nate and would've loved to have had him back, but...

He is now the highest paid offensive lineman in the league. Let that sink in, and then ask yourself, is Nate Solder the best offensive lineman in the league?

If BB had paid top dollar to keep these 4, everyone would be stroking out asking where his fiscal sanity had gone, that he's overpaying "his guys" to "keep the band together" instead of "fielding the best possible team."

Never what's true and what isn't. They're talking on the radio that BB is talking to Adrian Peterson.
Peterson had a decent year with a crappy O-Line in Arizona. Could he be that "Big Back" that BB likes to give the ball in the Red Zone? What's left in the tank??

Bring Blount back instead. He knows the offense. Y / N?

Not for nothing, but bring back Vereen. He could fill that role of Lewis now gone. Gills will be a part of this offense or he will be inactive. I can live with Gills, Rex, White and Veeren and Bolden. Having one of these guys inactive every week ensures we have a good healthy back who can fill in for an injury.

Sucks losing Solder, but money talks....a lot of money.....

Guys I was interested in are still out there. Brown, Kenny V, Whitehead are the ones to watch out for. As much as I would like the Honey Badger, he is going to get paid....I would pay him for sure. Fuck Nancy Sue...I want not part of that dude.

Bring back Waddle and Flemming and see where Garcia is...If you are lucky to land a LT at the end of first (kid from UCLA) then you do it.

According to NBCSB the Patriots are possibly very close to closing two deals.

DE Adrian Claiborne of the Falcons and Numadong Suh. Suh wants to play against the Dolphins but he also wants a chance to wear some jewelry. BB might be the only coach who can keep all of activity centered on the football field. Suh knows his window is closing at 31.

If BB can pull this off, the DL will be one of the best in the NFL and can take a tremendous amount of pressure off the secondary.

Word is that the Patriots are out of the Hiney Badger sweepstakes. That makes me wonder if BB has something up his sleeve and just might have a key to the the back door. If the Pats got all three of these guys, this defense would be N-A-S-T-Y !!!!

Sounds like Seattle is in the lead for Suh. Can't see the Pats ponying up big $ for him when they just traded for Shelton.

Source says Patriots are hosting TE Asante Cleveland on a visit today. Was with the team for part of 2015. Has also been with Chargers and 49ers. Candidate for the team’s third TE spot

@RapSheet

With Nate Solder off the board, the #Patriots would like to bring back one or both of the top tackles available: Cameron Fleming and LaAdrian Waddle. Former #Ravens OT Austin Howard also drawing considerable interest.

Nope...............

Problem as always is that the Boston Radio talking heads and the media are all over it and are beating it to death. I don't expect to sign either one. Buffalo will get Claiborne and the jets will get Suh. Some oneneeds to fire one person at Gillette and the info will cease to flow. Unless BB is pushing it iout the door to get people to spend before Bill really starts to make his moves.

Does not surprise me, I really loathe the media anymore.

It seems that every guy the Patriots have talked to so far this year has immediately been contacted by another team and tossed into a pool of money. The Patriots have only a jarful of money to work with, but can't compete with most of the NFL. One radio knucklehead said the Pats should have offered Solder $64M to come back. So that would have eaten up all but $7M that they have to work with. Everything seems to go pretty well until the local media starts tweeting and texting and sexting.

Suh has said that he is looking for the team that will offer him the most money. I can't see that being the Pats. He doesn't care about the ring as much as many players out there.

Yup. That was said during ESPNs free agency special yesterday. I think it was Dianna Russini who reported it. They even joked about the fact Suh was honest about it.
