Well, the 2018 IndyCar season is here and this week-end is the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Pete. The cars have the new design that harken back to the old CART cars and so far Honda has surpassed Chevy in performance.

Get your picks in for the podium and the same points system remains in effect for 2018. That being 6 points for correctly choosing the winner, 4 points for second, and 2 points for third with 1 point for correctly choosing the fourth place finisher if you choose to make that selection. If you don't make a selection, no points will be awarded for the correct selection of the fourth place finisher.

As in years past, the selections must be completed before the start of the race meaning before they start their engines.

I'll be gunning for my third championship in a row and have fun as this series gets going for 2018.

Wickens, a rook takes the pole. I'll take Hunter-Reay for the win, Power, Dixon, and Pagenaud.

With 5 laps remaining Wickens still leads Rossi by 6 tenths.

Damn, this is looking like NAPCAR. Caution out again with 2 laps left.

Wow, Wickens crashed on the restart with Rossi and it looks like Bourdais takes the lead.

A prime example of why Indy Car is viewed as a joke everywhere. No talent idiots out there late banging off walls creating cautions and a win taken away from a stellar rookie with no punishment even though the exact same mistake was punished twice earlier in the race.

Utterly pathetic.

Leaderless series this IndyCar is and it was much the state of F-1 just a short decade ago.
