Should this be cause for concern?

MRI revealed a minor flexor strain, but no structural damage. No timetable though.

Still not the best of news, especially with Eduardo's situation.

But But But Red Sox medical staff said he was fine when they signed him, didn't they?

Sorry but what is the Eduardo situation?
Per Rotoworld, he threw a bullpen session last week and could be facing live hitters soon. His ETA is expected to be late April.

Kinda running out of patience with this guy. I keep thinking this is the year but this is now year 4 and I'm still waiting.

he's only going to be 25 years old in April. the knee injuries have been frustrating, but the ability's there.

Reports are that Pomeranz's bullpen session went well. This guy just isn't ever going to be a workhorse. If the Sox can squeeze 150 innings out of him this year I'd call it good.

Heard the Angels(?) are going to go with a 6 man rotation. Really think the Sox should consider doing it too with Sale wearing down in the second half and Price/Pomeranz issues.

Wouldn't mind them doing that either.. and what's the latest on ERod?

Eduardo Rodriguez (knee) is expected to pitch in a minor league game next Tuesday.
Rodriguez made it through a successful three-inning round of live batting practice on Thursday morning in Red Sox camp. The 24-year-old left-hander isn't going to be rushed coming off October knee surgery, but it seems possible that he could be ready to join the Red Sox rotation around the middle of April. Rodriguez posted a 4.19 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and 150/50 K/BB ratio in 137 1/3 innings last season for Boston. Mar 15 - 11:49 AM

And the silver lining is that knees tend to get so much better as players age...

Thank you! I honestly thought he was older than 24 for some reason. Sub 3 ERA and a handful of wins this season from him and I'll call his season a success

I mean, he will be soon. I'd consider his season wildly successful if he has a sub-3 ERA, considering offense has been on the rise and there were only three qualified AL pitchers with a sub-3 ERA last year. Sonny Gray's 3.55 ERA was the 10th best. Just three years ago, there were seven AL pitchers with a sub-3 ERA and Yordano Ventura had the 10th best ERA at 3.20.

Yeah I was assuming that sub 3 ERA was a typo. And yes I was critical of ERod as I was tired of waiting on him to reach his potential without realizing he was only 24 too. I think it's obvious that they can't ask Sale to throw as many pitches as he did last year.
