Lynch had a nice, productive season.

Not really sure what backups you are eluding to.

But I don't believe they have a more complete back on their current roster. Washington and Richard are very small.

Jon Gruden: Raiders need 'full-time' Marshawn Lynch

"No. I said to him: 'I need Marshawn Lynch. I don't need this part-time Lynch. I need full-time Lynch,'" Gruden said, recounting the details of his meeting with Lynch earlier that day.

"We need the real deal," Gruden continued. "If you're going to put those letters on the back of your jersey, man, you've got to back it up, Marshawn -- right? We don't need another back, we need a feature back."

I think he is the workhorse right now. Well, Was. No idea what Gruden will do.

Other two guys are explosive, but limited touches. (Marshaun played more snaps than both his backups combined. Still less than half of the offensive snaps.)

And they play STs while Lynch never does.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a rookie join the group.

Don't feel the Raiders backup RBs are worthy of a starting gig. Raiders should seek new blood in the draft.

1)

Their backups are definitely not better. Richard and Washington can't absorb a large number of carries anyway

2) They should draft an RB

Lynch is just another me-first, dumb ass hip hop clown. The Raiders were simply fooled into taking this turd on their team cause...'oaktown.' Get rid of this punk, and let Carr run the show for the Raiders....and see where that goes.

They need a coach, a competent NFL owner, a QB, a couple of real live NFL receivers, an O-line, a D-line and city they can call their own.

Running back is the least of their problems.

Lynch played fine . Richard played ok in very limited action but other than that the Raiders don't have much at the position . If you can upgrade on Lynch then you should but dude only had 200 carries and still had 900 yards so in not sure who you get as a FA that's going to do better than that . If anything they need to run the ball more . Team only averaged like 22 carries per game

Hey... A raiders thread!! An honest to god raiders thread... with a good topic of discussion too!!!

Wait... where are all the raiders fans? Oh... That's right... They only start threads or talk about the Pats.

I hear what Gruden is saying but the old Lynch is gone. If he's looking for that guy ... He's gonna be disappointed. I'm not really familiar enough with the raiders backfield situation, lynch's cap hit, etc to really comment beyond what I've said. I do appreciate the previous posts though. Very enlightening

Hahaha

That commercial ranks up there with the old Lite beer commercials as the best of all time.
