As for Wade, if they're going to use him as they did in the first 2 games then I have no issue with bringing him back. Use him as the backup PG, don't run any plays for him, and have him get his buckets by being a slasher and cutting to the basket. Using him as they did tonight would totally disrupt things. Running your offense through him is just silly.

This team is in great danger of not making the playoffs. This team was 29-21 in 4th place just 2 weeks ago. Now they're losers in 7 of their past 8 games and 1.5 games up on 9th place.....also the teams ahead of them are now pulling away. They now have 3 more losses than the team directly in front of them.

If they don't go at least 6-3 in that stretch after the AS break where they play 7 of 9 then it is very unlikely they make the playoffs.

Yup. Fire spo. This is all on him. None of this is on the players. They are innocent bystanders who dont deserve any of the blame and responsibility.

He's been pretty consistent with Dragic playing time but yeah wouldn't be surprised if Whiteside head is fucked up now.

I'm ok with being a 7 or 8 seed but this team can't miss the playoffs. They can be competitive in any first round series as long as they avoid Cleveland. I think Pat and Andy will blow it up if they don't make the playoffs. 2 years with this group and no playoffs will be a cause for a roster overhaul.

You know how many different groups of players been on this team since Spo been the head coach but yet ALL of his teams are always bad after halftime?

Players deserve some blame but this is now a trend that has gone on for several years now with different groups of players.

Boom!!! Boom. After a while, you have to look in the mirror. We know our team is offensively challenged and plays good defense. The third quarter troubles were here even during parts of the Big 3 era. Maybe I am overreacting but these struggles have been going on for at least two years in a very very disturbing way.

I think Whitesides head is fine - its his pussy that seems hurt given his post game comments about PT. He still doesnt get it that he needs to earn it -- call it the Wade effect.

I probably shouldnt be amazed by your great ability to miss the point to bring up your baseless narratives in your relentless attack on Spo/the coaching staff in an effort to give players a free pass -- but here we are.

Point is all involved deserved their share of blame and responsibility -- all we ever hear is talk about wanting to get this right but the same mistakes are made by ALL involved.

Timing Ask Ira -- I like the way he says at the end that Spo needs wins and not friends in how he should approach playing time. Its not about satisfying this idiot fan base with who he plays however many minutes -- its about finding the right guys to help at a given time. That will sometimes mean less of Wade and Hassans bitch asses - whether people like it or not

No surprise that Whiteside is not happy with his playing time. As I said a few weeks ago, once the team started losing frequently then it would become an issue.

I agree but it should also mean playing your best player(s) in a particular game in the 4th quarter of a close game. For the 2nd time in about a week, he refused to play the best player that night in favor of a player or two who had a crappy night.

JJ was hands down the best player last night but somehow Wade and Winslow got minutes over him late in the game. He didn't play the final 6 minutes of the game

Only watching this AS game because there is nothing else and Goran is in it.

Thinking about how given this format of how teams were formed -- not by conference -- I think they shouldve and should alter the voting system any time they change the format in which teams are formed.

Do it Spo style," position-less" voting system. Of course, being more efficient with the PT he DID get would help his cause the most to get in. But I think he couldve very well been on one of these teams had the voting sytem been different to match the game.

I dont think there has even been ONE time this season where a Heat player has returned from injury by the initial established timetable. There always seems to be some sort of setback or something that keeps a guy out longer than initially expected.
