And another one bites the dust:

Blue Jays agreed to terms with LHP Jaime Garcia on a one-year, $8 million contract with an option for 2019.

That's a pretty good value. Garcia has struggled to put together seasons in which he both remains healthy and performs at his best, but he still has the strong groundball rate and decent strikeout rate to go along with it. Unfortunately, this most likely means that Joe Biagini will be back in Toronto's pen, barring an injury to another starter this spring.

I appreciate that, but no I will not going this year. My wife actually wants to but I am done with these fools. This would have been 10 straight and 12th overall, but just can't. My brother has gone to even more with his buddy and they are going somewhere else with their wives this year. Like a lot of you on here I have to at least be lied to better by them for some hope, but this year the lies are so ridiculous they are Trump esq.

Can't blame you.

My frustration is up there with you, but I still attend a lot of games because I just really enjoy the experience.

Guy had a hell of a run when he was younger, but I can't imagine he will ever come even remotely close to league average production again. His fastball velocity has dropped off the map and I don't think he will ever regain it again.

I'm rooting for him but to have any sort of expectations out of him I believe is misguided. I think I recall seeing something about him really bulking up, but that doesn't necessarily translate to velocity on the mound.

Sure makes sense, scout a dude who couldn't even make the starting rotation at his Alma Mater instead of looking at free agents. I mean I'm cool if they sign him to a minor league deal to help Rainier's or Everett's ticket sales though.

This is the guy I wanted from the beginning as a 1B/3B/LF option.

The only 2 other Mariners that rival Ackley are Bedard and Figgins

I am just wondering when the pitchers will show up for ST.

If management were smart (insert joke here), they should just hold back all pitchers because we all know the M's pitchers all have expiration dates so just hold them out for the real baseball...

I was always heavily superstitious, so I hate the idea of coming to camp with a beard or long hair. Earn the right to grow that out on the field. Just one man's opinion.

I read that his fastball was sitting at 90-93. At this point, I think he is definitely worth a minor league deal and invite to spring training.

That's great. Made me laugh, I was actually thinking the other day so what like 5 guys show up?

Since Dipoto is so into this Super Reliever thing I don't see why he wouldn't be a fit. If anything have him and Erasmo tag team an outing that will hopefully get you 6 innings
