OK...no prob.

But it's a catchy tune.
This one is better:

Pretty much how I picture every ND poster:

"At best, the NCAA’s decision in this case creates a randomness of outcome based solely on how an institution chooses to define its honor code; at worst, it creates an incentive for colleges and universities to change their honor codes to avoid sanctions like that imposed here."
."

The NCAA really needs to come up with at least guide lines of what penalties are incurred for what actions. I would agree that this penalty seems totally random and can't be compared with any prior precedence.

Of all the feckless punishments vacating wins is the dumbest.

The games still happened. The results are still known.

Nobody thinks USC wasn’t the champs in 2004.

And yes @MAIZEandBLUE09 Denard Robinson’s 4 INT’s still happened.

Cheer...Cheer
for ol Notre Dame

Bring on the Navy
Bring on Tulane

Send a Volley cheer on high
Shake down Northwestern from the sky

What though the odds be great or small
All the Service Academies will fall

While her loyal sons go marching
Onward...to vic-to-ry!
For a team that had to put a scrub FCS team back on its schedule just to be bowl eligible this takes a lot of balls.

It was a scrub Sun Belt team that they had to reschedule.

The scrub FCS team had to be given a special exemption to count the win because they didn’t offer enough college scholarships.

So, what you're saying is the BCSCG should have been a rematch of the SECCG in 2012? I think so too.

What FCS team did we put back on our schedule?
Oh excuse me. It was powerhouse UL-Monroe.

It was FCS powerhouse Del. St. that many believed didn't even have enough scholarships for it to be eligible. If you think any of this refutes my point. I can’t help you.

ND has never scheduled an FCS opponent. If your team still does (like FSU) you don’t get to make fun of our schedule.

Sure, but you had to cheat to do it....

It's amazing.
This shit happens all the time at every school.
ND self reports and this happens.

The NCAA has now become a worthless piece of shit.

Teams should honestly just cover it up. Because if they do, it's likely the punishment would be less severe or equal to this anyway. No reason to self report if they're going to give you no credit for self reporting.

Unless you care about most wins all time and they go from 2nd to 6th and if Nebraska and Texas return to form - they stay 6th for a long long time.

The NCAA just needs to go away. They hand out punishments with no rhyme or reason. They don't care about hundreds of athletes taking fake classes at UNC but slam ND for this BS where they found it and reported it. They slam USC for one player for getting gifts from two people not associated with the school and with Miami they have about 75 getting stuff from a known booster and nothing.

It’s just a number. Again people know the games that were played

All time wins winning percentage. So they can’t give a specific number they can still say one of the all time winningest teams and if anybody cares that much they’ll look it up and see why.

I’m sure Wikipedia will asterisk and say that those wins were vacated.

True there is no consistency. But the member schools dictate the NCAA’s authority and they have somewhat tied their hands as far as investigations go.

As I recall a lot of the problems with Miami were that the evidence to show the wrongdoing couldn’t be obtained directly by the NCAA and was given to them indirectly and improperly from civil proceedings against Shapiro.

Punishments just need to be black and white -- and listed for violations. You do this, you get X punishment.
