was staged and planned?
Mom was legit pissed because her son just cost her a Bama paid for Dodge Charger.
I heard on the radio today that the kid is/was in a gang in Florida and his mom was wanting him to go to a school where the gang wasn't so close.
She definitely handled it wrong, but if that's true I can understand it at least.
Wouldn't be shocked if it's true given it's a Florida recruit.
She shit on his parade. Terrible.
I heard the same thing, also on the radio.
Notice in the announcement video, multiple members of his family are wearing either Tennessee or Alabama gear, or in the case of his mother, both (she sported an Alabama shirt and a Tennessee hat). So it was clear that the family didn't want him going to Florida.
Obviously at first I also thought she handled it wrong. But after hearing the reason, I now think it was a brilliant move by mom. I believe she planned to do it ahead of time in the case her son defied the family by choosing Florida.......
......think about it, this story made national headlines in sports.... it was so big, that it soon became a general news story, transcending sports. Go ahead and type the letters Jac into Google search and see what pops up first in the pull-down menu choice.....that's right, it's Jacob Copeland.
Jacob Copeland is now going to be under a microscope while attending Florida.....his dirty laundry (gang connection) has been revealed to all, and you can bet your ass that any type of future contact Jacob might have with seedy gang types while attending Florida is going to be harder to conceal now that he will be under scrutiny.
Again.....brilliant move by mom.....sure, she shit on his parade, but it was meant to keep him in line while at Florida.
