Bing is shit. I'd recommend at least moving to yahoo search. I prefer Google myself. I've never had issues finding what I need. I can get to all the resources I need.

Google and Yahoo are both terrible in my experience.

Google is the most politically driven search engine available. If you prefer to avoid politics, avoiding Google is a good start. Just my friendly advice. If it works for you, cool.

Buy a high point. That way if you don't like it or don't use it, you only are out 175$

Cz 75

Probably not your best ccw, but one of the best handguns made. It's a sa/da pistol, a little on the heavy side, but accurate as the day is long and it's a low recoil shooter.

I second this. The CZ75 is the second most cloned handgun in the world for a reason. Accurate, reliable, ergonomic and it only costs about $550.

If you really have your heart set on a concealed carry, I’d suggest the CZ 2075 rami. It’s very similar to its big brother and in the same price range. I love both of mine.

I went to a gun show on Sunday and found three that I'm seriously considering: Barretta Storm, S&W M&P 9C and a Sig Sauer P320.
I have the Beretta PX4 storm compact in 9mm

Best da/sa hammer fire I've ever handled

I used to have a Hi-Point 45 I paid like $150 for, shot the shit out of it one day then sold it for $125 to a buddy lol. Damn thing was ugly as all hell but shot pretty damn good. I currently have a Hi-Point carbine in 9mm and love it. Probably one of the more fun guns to just go out and fuck around with that I own.

S&W Shield in 9mm
Great gun.
I have the Performance Center model myself.

I have also shot the Glock 43. Decent gun.
As well as the Springfield Armory XDm subcompact 9mm. I like the grip safety on the SA, but I shoot the S&W a touch better.

Speaking of 9mm I'm looking to get one. Was looking at the Springfield 1911 Range Officer 4" 9mm

I don't want a long barrel or a shorty. Looking for something with less kick is why I'm looking at the 1911

I was wondering if anyone had suggestions since I'm a newbie. From what I've seen and held at gun shows, the ones I liked are Glocks, Sigs and a Beretta M9A3. Does anyone here have any possible suggestions, preferably for a 9mm? I'm looking at trying to keep it around $500 give or take.

Did u end up getting one?

Unfortunately not yet, I haven't made up my mind between four different guns. I guess I'm just a bit hesitant since it'll be my first gun purchase and want to get it right. I am also now considering a Glock 19 but not sure if I would go with the Gen 4 or Gen 5.

A buddy of mine just grabbed a Ruger EC9s for $233 locally. Nice little gun. Looks like an LC9s. Not sure what the differences are to be honest.

I grew up on the 1911. Easiest gun to shoot well with that trigger. Even a "bad 1911 trigger" is better than most. Springers are good guns. Stainless is easier to clean and more resistant to corrosion. Black looks cooler.

Trigger has issues? What should I look for?

That's not what I meant. I was more talking about the old mil-spec 1911's having a heavy trigger but still being good because of the straight pull (the 1911 trigger has a bar directly behind it that tips the sear and releases the hammer instead of a pivot like a conventional trigger).

When playing with a 1911 trigger there should be a little take-up. Some mush at first. This is good. Then it should hit a wall and stop. A little more pressure and it "cracks" and the hammer drops. When the hammer drops the trigger doesn't keep pulling back too far but rather stops (over-travel).

The CZ P-07 Duty is something that can be used for conceal carry. I have one and love it but I don't conceal carry though.
