Mic. Check. Mic. Check. Ahem. This post is uploading? OK. Good.

In the 2017 season, Team 121 for the Tennessee Volunteers set two unprecedented marks in program history
  1. They lost 8 games within a season. Previously, only Tennessee & tOSU had never lost more than 7 games in a season throughout the history of their football programs. The sole distinction now belongs to Columbus's own.
  2. They were winless in SEC play. Nary a victory in conference. Yes, all eight losses came against their conference opponents; 4-8 overall, 0-8 SEC.
If this were not enough, the crumpling of the football program brought about the most unprofessional, publicly humiliating coaching search since that which followed Fulmer's dismissal in 2008. Surprised? Well, the university PTBs insisted on hiring a new AD with P5 experience. They wound up with K. State's John Currie, previously Hamilton's assistant AD during the Fulmer-Kiffin-Dooley fiasco. Currie was relieved of duties ~9 months into his 5-year contract, and Phat Phil became acting AD for the next two years.

Can you bring to mind any greater failure, any more mortifying failure during all of the 2017 CFB season?
:dingdingding: Game over. Tennessee wins.

Nope, not as bad as Florida's corching train wreck. Drag your ass through this for 5 years and you'll match it.

However, I gotta give it to UTenn. That's is pretty awesome failure - especially in light of your reportedly great recruiting of late.

Probably that high talking Vanderbilt player saying "Bama is about to find out what Vandy football is all about" or something along those lines, and then getting beat 59-0 by Alabama.

Or that retard Florida safety with a gap between his teeth talking all that good shit about Georgia, and then getting leveled by a true freshman running back on one of those slant passes he was making fun of.

The thought was there to put them in the poll, but that is Special Lifetime Achievement Award material.

For Michigan to collapse into obscurity, no one would have to recognize them ... apparently they are front and center on a lot of people's mind. If you were to say Michigan regression (or hopefully retrogression) then your poll may be valid.

I don't think either of those were the biggest fail of 2017. I would pick the Pac 12 division as a whole, Clemson losing to Syracuse OR Baylor losing to Liberty as the biggest fail of 2017

Nebraska only gave up one more point to the Iowa offense than Ohio State did. :laugh3:
