I thought all signs were pointing to Enis being a take? Looks like there would be room, assuming they're planning on taking 25.

Don't get me wrong, Oweh would be a really nice get, but missing on Oweh is much more palatable than missing on Parsons, Smith or Walker imo. Oweh has the tools to be a very nice pass rusher someday, but he's nowhere close to being ready to contribute. I think he would need to sit for at least two years before being ready to play, I think Smith and Parsons will both be ready to contribute much earlier.

Oweh may have the highest ceiling of them all. I'd rather take him than Enis, but I think we take all 5. Enis has not been given a green light yet though. I think they are waiting to see if anyone doesn't sign next Wednesday (with us and other teams) and will proceed accordingly

I agree, physically he might have the highest upside but he’s still so raw I could see situations where he doesn’t reach his full upside. That being said, I would be ecstatic if they can land him. If I were to rank the “big 5” still on the board in order of importance I’d go Parsons, Smith, Walker, Oweh, and Enis.

If they are waiting on the early period to play out, does that mean that Enis wouldn’t sign in the early period or would they just green light him last minute?

Enis is taking visits in January as is Walker, so neither of them will sign on 20th. I think if anyone who they expect to sign that day doesn't, they will recruit over them. probably also trying to leave some flexibility in case someone who another team expects to sign then doesn't and is open for a visit in January

Nope, but if you would have told me a month ago we'd likely land Parsons and Oweh and lose Smith, I would've taken it in a heartbeat. Hell, most had us losing 2 or all 3 and we likelyland 2 of them. Parsons is the one who can help immediately in several spots. Really hope they seal deal with him and Oweh. Sounds like Oweh is going to actually sign on december 20 and try to keep it quiet till he announces at the UA game.

Sorry to but in here, but from what I have heard from the Buckeye insiders is that Franklin and some of his staff was supposed to be a Smith's basketball game in Cleveland I think last Friday and they never showed up? I have no idea what the hell is going on anymore. We have our own circus going on with Woodbey, Jones, and Carmen.. It's been a bizarre season of recruiting for sure.

Thanks. Then there is Parsons who decomitted from PSU was leading towards OSU before he criticized the coaching. Weird Franklin of all people would forgot about a top recruit. I’m sure there is more to the story but it doesn’t sound good right before early signing period. Recruits want the full attention and the littlest thing can sway their mind. Great season for your buckeyes and wish you guys the best in your bowl game. Make the Big10 proud.

Parsons is a lock for you guys. Something alarmed the Buckeyes coaching staff during or after we lost to Oklahoma on his official. They cooled off on him, which is alarming for a 5* recruit. You guys should land Oweh. You have a very nice recruiting class coming in. Franklin has done a good job taking over your program.

I was hoping for a really nasty D with Parsons, Oweh, and Smith. Wrecking havoc for 3-4yrs. Still very nasty though if they can land 2.

I didn't think you would get all 3, but still Parsons and Oweh, yikes! We are loaded at the DT position which used to be our weakness not long ago. Getting Smith is a must for us since we lost Cox.

Was Thursday (2 days ago) and they didn't show because Smith cancelled their in home on Tuesday, just after his official. They cojntacted him the next day to try and reschedule an in home and nothing came of it and they had an in home with PArsons on Thrusday already scheduled. They didn;t just pull a no show on him, there was contact about it.

I saw Jones is visiting all over the SEC and FSU and Csarmen was just in Cali. I think Jones bolts and you get Carmen

Parsons tweeted that they should be playing Haskins. Caused a lot of controversy among current players and former players. Carmen also did the same thing and the reaction he got opened door for some otehr schools. Franklin had backed off Parsons a bit as well, was tired of the social media circus. They sat him down on his unofficial and told him if he wants back in the class, enough is enough and he has cooled it quite a bit. Kid is as talented as anyone I have seen this side of Lavar Arrington coming out of HS. If he keeps his head on straight, he'll be a first round NF: draft pick.

No doubt Parsons is a freak and he will be a wrecking machine in the B1G. He has all the tools to be elite at the next level, but let's see where his head is when he comes in as a freshman. That will be telling his first year. I think him staying close to home and grounded is a good thing for him.

He's supposedly set to enroll early, would be a huge boost for him to be in spring practices and get accustomed to LB. He is the kind of kid I could see spiraling out of control if he did go too far from home.
