It was Douggie P.. McMabb was waiting in the wings. The Eagles scored a last minute TD to beat Dallas.

Good one. If youre a fan of the NFL youre a fan of Wentz. He was going to win MVP this year. I hate the Cowboys and root against them every week but I also respect and root for guys like Lee, Witten, Ware, Barber etc.

Seriously, 48 passes to 24 runs. Then after he got hurt, 5 consecutive passes by Foles. We have some pretty good backs that were getting yards when they got the ball. i do not understand this love of throwing on most downs.
For the most part Doug P has done a good job, but he does not go to the run. It also makes the game shorter when you run the ball with a lead. Which we had at 1/2 time.
Well they are 14th in pass attempts and 2nd in rush attempts so I'm not sure that is very valid.

Not sure I get that. Maybe they could run the ball more, but that wasn't a running play he was hurt on. That was a scramble. He like Big Ben- holds the ball for as long as possible. I don't fault Wentz for going head first either. It was a TD that was called back. Sure he should slide more in the open field. Hopefully he learns, because the guy is awesome to watch. Dread playing him for the next 10-12 yrs
Wentz is very talented but when a QB makes plays outside the pocket he increases the likelihood of getting injured. Just ask Aaron Rodgers.

Agree. When Dak runs that read option I'm loving it. And it's at the point now where I'm hoping he just scrambles on every 3rd and short when he has the chance. But at the same time when he got his hand hit by a helmet on the option pitch I'm saying "why are you running that with a QB". So I'm just as bad as everyone else. Just pointing out how fans and media react. Sometimes we let the result decide whether or not the play was "smart". But, when push comes to shove I feel our team (and Philly and some other teams) is a better team when our QB is being aggressive so I am all for it
Big risk equals big reward.

Me neither. When QBs get hurt everyone says they need to be more careful, when they don't they are tough and winners...
I cringe every time Dak goes head first on most plays. If its very late in games or on third down and he needs the yards for a 1st OK go for it, but in most cases I prefer he just slide.

Holding the ball too long, scrambling, moving in the pocket, designed QB running plays........
It's a recipe to lose a franchise QB. LBs are stronger, tougher, and about as mobile as any QB.
Brady, Rogers twice, Wentz, Romo many times, Carson Palmer, Cutler, David Carr, Prescott's hand...ETC.ETC.
a great run game helps (a COWBOY formula)
But losing a franchise, in the NFL QB can't happen.

I don't think he was going to win MVP. He has a horrible completion percentage, but he was having a great year and a lot of TDs. If he had a great last 3 weeks he would have a real good chance, but you can't assume that

I think he would have and may still do it. Brady, IMO, was his main competition and he was awful Monday night. Now I think you have to throw in Antonio Brown and Russell Wilson. Outside shots- Rivers, Keenan Allen

I think Brown is clearly in the mix. He isn't going to get 2,000 yards but he is going to be close

I agree with alot of the things you say. Real Estate was a lot harder to come by in the 2nd half, but it seems they always abandon the run whether it works or not.
It is nice to read what you wrote from a Cowboys fan. I have been on the Philly paper message boards and some Giant and Cowboy fans are doing some heavy trolling. It feels like they are happy we lost our QB. I do not wish injury on anyone. Good luck the rest of the way.

I like it if the guy gets to sit on the bench for a few plays, but to get a serious injury, no way. I always like to see full strength against full strength.

We have had our share of injuries this year but none yet where a player is done for the year. I don't think anyway. Every team has injuries, but our division seems crazy this yr regarding injuries. I've lost count how many Skins and Giants are out. Then you think Eagles- Wentz, Peters, Hicks, and their K out for the season.

His completion percentage isn’t tops but everything else is. TD, red zone percentage, leads league on 3rd down. Freaking guy is 50% on 3rd and 10 or longer which is insane. I think he had it in the bag. He had 13 great games, why not 3 more. Had another 4 TDS in 3 quarters. Wilson is up there but he might not make the playoffs. Sooooooo bummed.

As bad as Brady and Wilson looked last week, he may still get it. Antonio Brown has a shot at 2000 yrds so he has to be in the mix as well. Don't count out old man Rivers either. As far as Wentz though, surely he will still be selected for the Pro Bowl. I know Pro Bowls don't mean much , but it is an honor. Hell Foles may have gotten MVP of it the yr he went

Yeah Foles was MVP of the Pro Bowl which doesn’t mean much. Just waaaaay to many superstar injuries this year. The best team might not win theSB this year, it might just be the healthiest.

Injuries always play a role in the NFL season. The teams best equipped to deal with them usually do better because everyone is hit with them. If I remember correctly the Packers were decimated by injuries the year they won the SB and the Giants were hit really badly in 2007 too. They were pulling DBs off the street and still beat us

If you lose your QB it’s a wrap. No Brees, no Brady, no Big Ben, no Wentz, no Dak equals season over.

If the Patriots lose Brady or if the Steelers lose Big Ben (probably the best two teams now) they will lose to Buffalo or whatever mediocre AFC team makes the playoffs. Buffalo isn’t better than the Patriots but without Brady the Patriots lose. Get it now or are you to engrossed hanging with your super model girlfriend in one of your million dollar houses while being a power lifter and high six figure earner and a professional gambler.

Fun fact. 7 backup QBs have won a SB. Most were not injury replacements, but came on due to poor QB play, but still. that is 13%. Way higher than I would have guessed.
