Good Luck with Ohio State. Kinda fitting actually. The two conference champs left out play each other.
Almost identical teams, There's a reason they didn't include SC's resume with the OSU Bama comparison. Conference champ that mirrors OSU. Should be a great game tho. A shit ton of history as well

Apparently the Rose Bowl is going to be played in Texas this year.

Best win is twice over 4 loss stanford. Blowout loss to ND didnt help. USC is good this year, but schedule did them no favors, top 8 is pretty accurate for them. That and the media hates west coast teams lol.

Agree. We were too inconsistent and don't pass the "eye test."

If we had beaten UCLA and Stanford decisively in our last 2 games, there might have been a chance we got in and definitely would have been ranked higher than #8.

But both games were a microcosm of our season. Seemingly one play away from a blowout, only to have the games be much closer than they should have been.

Add to that the curbstomping that the Domers laid on us and we are probably lucky to be ranked where we are.

As for the schedule...Playing 12 straight weeks and having a road game on Friday vs. Wazzou right after a road game on Saturday didn't help either. I agree with @SkinsDevil if that game is played on regular rest, we probably win. In typical PAC fashion, they fixed it after the fact. So no one has to worry about it next year at least. :tsk:

For a while I had hoped that the playoff committee would take into account that one of our losses was a game with the deck stacked heavily against us, which we still only lost by 3, but it was clear weeks ago that they weren't willing to take that into consideration.

Getting blown out on the National Stage by Notre Dame was really all that mattered. Really would have been much better if we got blown out by Cal or Arizona and had an exciting win vs ND.

On the flip side OSU was blown out by Oklahoma at home. And against an unranked Iowa,But SC and the PAC have a golden opportunity to make a direct statement. In regards to the committees disrespect of the PAC and love of the other conferences this year
