Your whole argument falls apart when you say Traditional power, because Nebraska is a traditional power and all time winningest teams will prove that. Try again?

That argument relies on the mid 90s run to be at all feasible. Was Nebraska an elite program as of 1990? They had two national championships 18 and 19 years earlier, and a handful of conference titles. Their resume didn't compare at the time to Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Alabama or USC.

The majority of your national blue blood cred comes from a decade where the other national blue bloods were down

Nebraska has done it all wrong too many times in the past. For ONCE we have done EVERYTHING the right way! Moos is going to get a statue (wont be big or next to the stadium) for everything he has done and how he has gone about it. Classy is an understatement. Granted the press and leaks have happened i dont think it was on Moos' end. It is an exciting time to be a Husker (who would have thought i would say that after going 4-8 and not having won a conference championship in 18 years) To top it all off the 2003 coaching search has now been surpassed by good ol' tennessee!!

I would like to see Nebraska get their program turned around. OU/Nebraska rivalry was an all time classic. Someone just getting into college football now would ask why? I don't think that's a good thing for college football.

Further more buckwheat from 1969 to 2001 Nebraska had no less than 9 wins each y ear. You cant even find a 10 year period where USC won 9 or more each year! What a joke!

Yes.

The traditionally great programs, like USC, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Alabama, were all going through relatively down periods.

That allowed a new set of schools, like the ones you named, to enter the national picture. But of them, only Florida State, and Florida for a while, has really kept it going once the traditional powers reemegerd

The reason Tom Osborne didn't win more titles has a name. Barry Switzer. When he got fired Osborne started winning.

You can typically tell a poster's age around here by the content of their posts.
If it's parroting espn they are likely 12 - 22.

I'm 38 actually. You guys are talking about all time wins. That's a good category for you guys, but two of the programs above you on that list are Michigan and Texas. They weren't on my list of blue bloods either if you noticed.

Absent the 90s, that's the level of program Nebraska is. Like Michigan or Texas. That's not bad, but it's not on the level of the other programs I was talking about.

You guys are above that level, closer to Oklahoma or USC on the prestige level, but the reason you are is because you had a great run while those other programs were down.

That's not an insult.

Nah USC and Okalahoma were only good because Nebraska was down.

See how stupid that argument is?

It's also a micharacterization of my argument.

All I said was that the 90s were an aberrational era in college football history, with many of the elite powers having down times.

It wasn't specifically about Nebraska at all. You guys just took it personally

That link I posted wasn't 'all time wins' you idiot. It was most wins in the 'Last 50 years'.

All time goes back well over 100 years.

If you're really 38 then you just started watching CFB 15 years ago at best.

No you specifically stated it ding dong read up a little bit. SMH

Here is another fun fact for you From 1963 to 2001 Nebraska has been in the top 10 except for :
1969 11
1989 11
1990 17
1991 15
1992 14
1998 19

But no we arent a traditional power..... Give me a break kid. If you are 38 you spent 39 years with your head up your ass.

The only thing I even said similar to that was that AS OF 1990, you were not yet an elite program on the level of Oklahoma, USC, Notre Dame or Alabama.

You're really twisting my words
