Yeah Marquette is much better off in the long run having played Wichita, and even though Marquette lost, it's better than playing and beating Cal, because that's not even gonna be a top 100 and maybe top 150 win come March. VCU/WSU/LSU is about the best outcome Marquette could have hoped for. If VCU can take care of Michigan that'll be a solid win(and still might be by the end of the year, they should still finish top 4 in the A-10).

Exactly.

Hopefully LSU is bad again tonight. But going to need them to play well in the SEC. VCU isn't great off the eye test but they should compete well in the A10 and end up a solid win.

Michigan losing kinda hurt us. So we need VCU to hopefully win this and have LSU have a better then expected year.

Of course, really need to win tonight as well.

Agree with all this. The way Michigan has started off this season, there might not be that big of a difference between them and LSU. I'm not sure either will be a top 50 team, especially if Michigan can't beat VCU. Michigan still has @ UNC, @ Texas and UCLA, so they might be looking at 5 losses entering into B1G play(which is very down this year).

I remember he picked UM to make the final 4 last season because the ‘plane crash’ was a sign of destiny for the team or something.

Dakich is dumb. I'll never forget him saying last season that UNC hadn't had a tough team since the mid-1980s. At the time of the comment, UNC had won 3 Nattys since the mid-1980s. We also saw what happened in March.
