A villain that rules through fear and a good guy that tries to unite everyone for a common purpose.... but, seriously, Game of Thrones isn't going to be back on for quite some time.

Did they suddenly run out of sniper rifles and/or ammo?
Nobody in Negan's group had a grenade that would have done massive damage to the idiots that were all bunched up in a tight area with protection from bullets? A stick of dynamite? Molotov cocktail?

We get Rick/Negan monologuing, which I supposes qualifies as fan service, but they wasted a crap-ton of ammo shooting out windows. You don't attack from a low position to a high position. That's strategery 101. Lazy writing....

I was kind of annoyed by the ending. Why didn't Gabriel (is that the correct name for the priest) just start firing his AK47 as soon as he heard Negan speak? This is his chance to kill Negan.

Because Rick said nobody kills Negan except him plus Gabriel was surprise that Negen was hiding in the same room as him.

I can see both sides of this debate. Since the very 2nd episode I've been wondering why they don't smear themselves in walker guts any time they went out on a mission. It seems the crew in Fear The Walking Dead learned to use this strategy a bit more frequently. Rick's group only likes to use it when the plot requires it. Think of all the lives that could have been saved. Well of course it wouldn't be much of a show if they did that all the time. We never would have gotten Shane's betrayal of Otis, for example because they would have walked right into that school and grabbed the supplies and walked right out.

Every good show or movie has had silly stuff like that happen. Sometimes it bothers me more than other times. But even when I'm not bothered by it, it's still kind of funny to point that stuff out.

Only reason I could think of as to why they didn't just shoot Negan was because they wanted to give the others a chance to surrender first and then they'd only kill Negan. If they kill Negan right away without any negotiation the others would likely retaliate. Then when Rick sees they aren't going to surrender, he fools them into thinking they have until he counts down from 10 before he starts shooting. Still a few holes in this theory but it's the best I got from Rick's perspective.

That being said, what about Negan making himself so vulnerable like that? Even if my (or any other) explanation for Rick's actions were close to being true, Negan would have no way of knowing what Rick was thinking. All he knew was that Rick has threatened to kill him twice, and he's been shot at once before by someone from that group only to have Lucille save the day for him in a complete fluke. You'd think that maybe he'd want to take cover while talking to Rick and the others.

Hey look, a bunch of people who want to kill us are gathered outside. Hang on, let me get all my lieutenants so we can all stand in your line of sight.

Oh shit, they're shooting at us. It's ok, none of us were hit. Yay.

Damnit, now we're gonna have to replace all those windows.
