This was also attributed to an underwhelming game plan by McCarthy. He tried too hard to "protect" Hundley and ended up screwing himself, Hundley, the whole team and the whole fan base in the process.

It's pretty frustrating to have a guy learn how to ride the bike for three years; then when he finally gets his shot to ride, the coach doesn't take the dam training wheels off.
