LOL at all the sports media lining up to suck off Darnold, USC, and the LA media market the entire off season and all their fans blindly buying into it. Every week it was another vomit inducing puff piece about how Darnold had the Heisman locked up and USC was going to destroy the rest of the PAC. Even tonight, they were still saying crap like, "Everyone in the nation was watching the game up to see Darnold play and his parents should be so proud of their football god Californian golden boy."

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!
Yeah that was way over the top. I'm pretty sure most people watching NBC's broadcasts were either ND fans or fans of the rivalry game. Even when he was fucking up on the field they were singing his praises.

My hats off to the USC sports information dept. their Heisman campaign has really won over the press, despite the on-field results.

Yes if you played Idaho and Missouri State every week you guys would be something special
You can throw my Miners in there too...and Oregon State, Kansas (bring back that rivalry...it'd be one heck of a pillow fight), Illinois, etc.

LOL @ Baylor's win total
And yet Rhule may be doing the best coaching job in all of CFB this year. I didn't even think they'd be competitive in ANY game all year. And of all the historical "messes" to clean up in CFB, the one he's trying to clean up has to be the messiest mess of all. At least Penn State had their "brand" to help pick up the pieces.

Potential eyeballs on TV sets dictates things to some degree. He had the whole of the LA market, Barkley has the whole of Philly/Pittsburgh, Now Love has the entirety of Northern Cali.

Flyover country teams' players are more and more being overlooked because, hey....who gives a fuck about those guys except for a few hayseeds.....amirite?

I don't think USC did a thing to make him the Heisman favorite. ESPN did that all by themselves. They talked about it last year during the USC-UW game, and honestly I had no idea really who he was but by the time the game was over he had all but wrapped up this years and they said had he started the year it would've been him Jackson and Watson. ESPN is insane how they choose a guy and promote the shit out of him.

He also was playing with a concussion
1. That wasn't reported when I made the post.
2. I hope the Texas trainers do a better job in the future.
