Or a fast, toolsy CF who is projected as a mid-late 2nd rounder.
Hey, that guarantees that you get the guy. Then, you just keep doing that in every round and your set! No need to have back up plans for each round. Sure, you may miss out on a 1st round pick but 1 out of 30 is an excellent ratio!

That's much better than Panda was hitting there for a while.

Here's my Waaaay too early look at the top 2018 prospects:

Tier 1: Singer RHP
Tier 2: Rocker* RHP, Turang* SS
Tier 3: Kelenic* OF, Hankins* RHP, Beer1B
Tier 4: Madrigal 2B/SS, Mize RHP
Tier 5: Kowar RHP, Gray* OF, McClanahan LHP

* denotes HS player

Again, verrrrrry early, but if we could nab Singer it'd be a perfect draft. Rocker/Turang is the fallback.

I would be happy with Rocker, Kelenic or Hankins. From what I have heard, I am not that interested in Singer (with the #2 pick, at least — he is certainly a top prospect, though)

I am of the early opinion that if Singer drops to #2, we absolutely should draft him.

Nander de Sedas is probably my number one guy, followed by Brice Turang, then Singer.

Here's another name to look out for (since this has turned into a semi-draft thread I guess).

Luken Baker, 1B/OF out of TCU. He's 6'4" 240 lbs of pure strength.

Baker is more of a fringe guy at the moment after a series of arm injures puts him out for the entire summer, but he's already gaining some helium this fall. I think there's a significant shot he explodes up the rankings this year and sees a Kris Bryant type of rise.

He fits a profile the Giants are after. Good all around hitter, huge RH power. I mean big time pop. He would BY FAR have the best power in the organization. I'm talking 40 homer potential, even in the phone booth. He's athletic, pitched his freshman year and was hitting 95. Would have a chance to move quickly as well.
