Why don't we just all compromise and no longer have night games in Pullman. Make all home games a 12:30 start on Saturday's. I don't mean to use the cop out of what do they expect and excuse bad behavior, but what does the Pac 12 expect when they do night games in the one legit college town in the conference where you go to school and drink/drugs

I didn't catch the name of the writer or publication, but there supposedly is a really good article about how the PAC-12 does it's "marquee teams" no favors with their scheduling.

I guess part of what he mentioned was...could you imagine the SEC scheduling Alabama's first road game of the season to be on a short week like they did USC? Or the B1G doing that to tOSU?

Or see either of those conferences scheduling, I believe they said, 8 night games last year (and doesn't seem to be much better this year) like they did to Washington?

It's like when it comes to putting teams in position for the playoffs and exposure, the PAC is it's own worst enemy.

Uh, no he isn't. The lawyer that was interviewed on Petros and Money also said that it would be highly unlikely that charges would even be brought, let alone, a conviction happen...largely because the fan was where he wasn't allowed to be.

Essentially, he said that when you trespass into an area where you know you are not supposed to be, you are choosing to endanger yourself.

He said if the fan came to him even wanting to go with a civil suit, he'd tell him to stay off the field and that he has no chance of winning.
First off, I doubt he is licensed to practice in the state of Washington, as most Lawyers only practice in a state where they reside or have had residence in the past.

Second, the investigation is still on going, so how does he know if this person who was struck was in fact violating pitch invasion rules? Maybe he had as much a right to be on the field as the player. :noidea:

This is why they do investigations, to find the facts, and I'm sure that Lawyer either made some type of caveat to that fact that you might have just missed, or he just was speaking from his ass.

Maybe both might be improved, but 60 is very low. 60 seems like just a number both teams could get to without even trying. You may be on a backup QB but can't imagine it being a 24-21 game.
Neither did they. that would only be 45 not 60

With the odds they have listed they are forecasting a final score of 31 - 29 WSU.

Without Herbert and Freeman I'd go more like 45-20 and it could be worse.

No matter what duck fans think of their improved D, it won't keep the score down if their offense isn't holding onto the ball. Asking a backup QB to do so in a game this big is really a tall order. If you give Falk enough tries they are going to score and score often. The ducks are probably going to have a much more conservative game plan because of the inexperience at QB. Safer passes and a whole lot of running. Cougs should be able to park a Safety down low and play a lot more man over the top.

Honestly the cougs would have to be total frauds to lose this game or even have it close late. Without a lot of turnovers this one should be over in the 3rd quarter.
freeman hasn't been ruled out yet. hes been practicing in full gear this week

Yeah, I heard that this morning. Would certainly help if he plays, but it's still WSUs game to lose.

Something that doesn't say assault on the kids record. I would say a good attorney would get it dropped to disorderly conduct and call it a day. One of my good friends works for a high profile attorney and I've heard stories of a client being drunk , speeding ,blowing stop lights, losing control and crashing ultimately being charged with just reckless driving. Having a good attorney will get something minor thrown out and something major being reduced.

Scotland huh. That's pretty cool. I've been to England and Ireland quite a few times but never made it to Scotland. Ever see that movie "the Englishman who went up a hill and came down a mountain"? It's pretty funny if you haven't seen it.

I thought that movie was about Wales?

Well the Pac12 does have a commissioner that has zero balls and has been a let down. If I hear him say it gives more exposure one more time. How the hell did our game get more exposure when bars east of Texas close at halftime.

He gave away essentially all negotiating tactics allowing the networks to decide who plays. If the conference had any say then he could give the finger to Fox and Disney. So I guess I'm not sure if it just on Scott, maybe the AD's or presidents but it is utterly pathetic a conference on life support (the Big 12) and a conference and a conference that has zero excitement in their crappy conference (the B1G) makes more money and has more exposure when the Pac 12 has the higher television markets of people who actually watch college football. I know the B1G technically does but no one can convince me NY/NJ gives two shits about college athletics.

lol I think I'll take the word of an actual lawyer over yours.

As to the bold. Talk about a reach. And you accused @socaljim242 of looking through cardinal and gold glasses while forgetting to remove your own baby blue and gold ones (you do that a lot).

That makes a lot of sense, and if he is charged, again which I doubt unless there are circumstance involving a minor, I'm sure you are right.

We stayed a week in England a couple of years ago in route to South Africa for Safari, but this go around we started our trip in Ireland, made our way to North Ireland for a day where we signed the Peace Wall, then off to the Lowland in Edinburgh, Scotland, and a day in the Scottish Highlands to Lock Ness.

The Highland games just wrapped up the week prior to our arrival. Should have done our homework, and started in Scotland then ended in Ireland I guess. But we caught outstanding weather for mostly our entire trip. Rain was forecast for nearly every day save a couple at each stop of our trip, and we only caught rain only once in route to Loch Ness.

So your saying that it's a reach to investigate the facts? Goodness TF, that's not a reach, that just doing their due diligence. There were plenty of excited plain cloths WSU folks who had legitimate business on the field, sure there were more pouring out of the stands, but I'll say it again, that's why they do the investigation.

Rushing to judgement seems to be your MO trojanfan, I'll wait on the facts once again, as we all saw you here rush to judgement in the Kicker incident. You were wrong then, and I can't be wrong here because I'm only talking about things they need to rule out, like the age of the dude as well who hit the turf. Plenty of Freshman who could still be 17.

I'll tell you this much, pitch invasion or not, if I was running down there (Brace yourself, Ima-gonna go all internet tough guy here, LOL) with my son, and dude laid my son out like that while I was right there, my son wouldn't be the only one hitting the turf that's for sure! I'm not some light weight College aged kid to be tossed to the ground by a cheap shot like that, and I'd say that about any player who acted in this regard, not out of competitive bravado, I'd do it to a Bruin player if he acted that way in front of me, no doubt!

Punks be punk-n, their only uniform is an indiscriminate Asshat!

Was it? I thought it was about a small town in scotland. My bad but still a good movie.

lol, I was just messing with ya. But yeah, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a Welsh village he is visiting. I may have just lost all sorts of social standing by knowing that.

I agree ,that the Oregon player in that video needed his steroids taken away. Dude sucker punched a player then went at fans in the stands.

Jim, did you watch the TV copy of that hit? The angle from the cell phone wasn't as clear about how that player did in fact lean/lung going away from the path he was actually walking to hit that fan. One of the links AG posted had both views and that TV copy was much more damning in terms of how far the player went out of his way to hit him.

Again to be clear, I wouldn't charge him with anything, but to say it isn't chargeable is total and complete bullshit.

People get charged all the time for stuff that they don't end up convicted for. I'm saying he'd never get convicted in a courtroom. A public attorney would give a plea bargain with some community service and throw out the charges or drop them to disorderly conduct. because proving assault would be really hard here. You have one person (the player) exactly where he's supposed to be and a fan disobeying the rules of the stadium running towards the player. I saw the video , both of them . Yeah he lunged forward but all he'd have to say is he thought the fan was going to do something. How many times have you seen people run out onto a football field or baseball diamond. They get clocked. Not saying the player is security but once a fans on the feild or court they pretty much lose a lot of rights.
