Well the article was during the week before the game and you saw Darnold run for two TDs in this game so he's not harded enough to take notice that he's not using a weapon. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. I think he can be a really good one but it will take time.

I finally saw the video. Stupidmove to push the fan like that and stupid move to run in front of visiting players on their way back to the locker room. The player was where he was supposed to be and the fan wasnt so I doubt they could get any charges to fly. It's not like the player chased the fan down.

Um suspending a red shirt freshman that doesn't have a chance of sniffing the field anyway isn't much of a punishment is it? That's like taking the serving plate of meat away from a vegan in a buffet.

His ass should be running to the top of the coliseum every practice for the next two weeks.

I'd be fine with him running, or pushing a sled from here to Alaska, as appropriate. I think I saw an article saying he did see the playing field against WSU, but didn't record a statistic. So suspending him for the Oregon State game where he actually might see a more significant amount of play time might be a big deal. Kind of his one chance to shine this year.

This player will probably get as much or more than Alabama players get for having loaded guns and weed in a park at 2am.

No ones saying it wasn't a stupid move to push a fan who ran in front of this player. Cops kill people because they feel threatened. A fan running at you might cause you to think they might do something. I'm not saying thats what he thought but its a reason it would never get charged. He didn't punch the fan he pushed them and could say he pushed them out of his way. I'm guessing his punishment will include some extra work out for sure.

Come on man, you saw the vid. It looked like that coug had an arm raised in victory and who knows what the asshat was yelling, but he was moving in a way that wouldn't have contacted that player. The player actually moved forward and threw up an arm to knock him down. It wasn't in personal protection mode. He wasn't worried about the idiot coug harming him. He knocked him down out of frustration. Fans don't belong on the field while players are there. He's a college kid as well as an athlete.

He doesn't deserve to be charged simply because there was (probably) no real injury. It still is the definition of an assault though and is chargeable is all I was saying. It would be kind of dumb if they did though.

I've been to several games where the fans charged the field. I can remember one against USC even. Sark era in like his first or second year I think it was. Fans charged the field the year we played in Century Link field when UW upset a highly ranked Stanford team as well. Some before that, but not many as it wasn't something they did back in the day. I haven't ever joined in. I watch from the stands. I don't believe we as fans belong down there, but it's cool to see and feel that vibe when a crowd is charged up like that.

Now vegas has flipped it back again and has it WSU -2 at Oregon.

Started -1 for WSU, went to -2 for the ducks, and now -2 to WSU again. All kinds of money jumping things around in that bitch.

And the current O/U has dropped from 67 to 60.

How many people have gotten shot by cops "thinking they were in danger" when the other person wasn't attacking the cop ? This was a shove. I'm not saying he was right or it wasnt malicious. I'm saying no way he could get convicted of assault.
