Off the heart attack inducing game in Iowa, we come home to play Indiana and break out the new alternate uniforms. Still ranked #4 in nation.

Not relevant to the Indiana game but this is the most recent thread so I'll say it here. Shoutout to Coach Huff and the Nektons! The special teams unit has been outstanding all year imo. PSU has been excellent in punt coverage and Gilikin has been very good. Also had a blocked FG against Iowa last week. The only negative play I can think of that the ST unit has had was the FG that Iowa blocked but still I've been very impressed overall. Just thought I would mention it.

Yeah, no coincidence it has improved as our talent level has gone from walk ons to 4 star kids playing special teams now.

45-17

We usually dominate Indiana at home, I think we spring board off last week, much like Minnesota last year, and offense gets rolling. I think we clean up redzone O, which is only thing that held us back last week and win going away. I'm pumped to see the alternate unis with the white shoes as well

I am not liking how our offensive line looks today at all. We're dominating the scoreboard but the line is just plain bad. I hope we figure that out and soon.

As is McSorley. Missing a ton of easy throws, just like he has been almost all season. If McSorley and the o line don't get their shit together, good luck against elite defenses like UM and OSU.

The play calling is also a bit baffling. I have no idea why you would throw it on 3rd and 1 with like 2:30 left in the half and 3 timeouts. Especially when you have a QB that has been struggling and the best RB in the country. The TD after that interception gave Indiana all the momentum.

I'm not a huge fan of the play calling but I'm not sure what could be called and actually work behind this line.

Play calling, kicking struggles again, miss throws again, Barkley being focused on because McSorely struggling, and if this continues we will lose to Michigan, Ohio St and maybe others. Special Teams and our defense won this game.

McSorely missing throws he needs to make to loosen things up. Can only block so many guys. If people are going to blitz and bring extra guys all day, he needs to make them pay.

linebackeru, you came damn close to the final tally of 45-14 win. Missed it by three points. Another big outing for McSorely in the passing game. We now head to Northwestern who lost to Wisconsin it looks like. This is setting-up a match-up at the end of the month against Ohio State. If things continue as they are, I utterly hope we kick OSU's backside this year!!

Let's not over look Northwestern. Franklin has struggled against them from his time at Vandy and at PSU.

It is great when you can beat another team by 31 and find room to grow. Agree the line needs to pick it up. McSorley ended with good stats but I think most felt like he left a lot out on the field. Barkley is the best or very close to the best player in college football. That little one handed catch, stop and accelerate was unreal. The field goal kicker is not getting the ball up soon enough. The blocks in the last two games were just barely over the heads of the guys on the line. If this isn't fixed he is going to get more of them blocked.

Northwestern is game that scared me most on our schedule before season (other than the obvious big 2 that follow) NW always plays us tough, especially at home and an early kick

Agree, McSorely stats deveiving today. He missed some throws he has to make to make this offense really click like last year. Although, I was encouraged by 4th when he started stretching field again. We need to do that.

As for Saquon, there is absolutely no doubt he's best player in college football. He is a generational player, and while I've tried to resist putting him in such lofty company, he may be the best RB i have seen since Barry Sanders. He just does thinks that leave you shaking your head wondering how the hell that just happened.

Even though he ran that kickoff for a TD I still hate him fielding kicks

I think they are giving him every opportunity to win. It is harder for RBs now with spread offenses putting up fantasy winning stats every week for a QB.

all about getting your best player maximum touches and a Heisman in our trophy case won't hurt recruiting.

Reggie Bush returned kicks and punts, as did Mcafferey. Barry Sanders did as well
