First game, Nico scores a highlight goal. Last night, we see he is not afraid to go in front of net and shows off his hands with that deflection. So far looking good.

So last night the Rangers basically started their top-6 d and Henrik. Also started their top 6. We had Henrique Stafford, and all the kids... and you know what, the kids did a damn good job.

It's amazing how nice it is to see this infusion of speed. Zacha, McC, Bratt, Wood, Nico. All these kids have some serious wheels.

Bratt looks like he's going to be something special. Would love to see him get at least the 9 game look at this point before Shero decides if he sticks or goes to London.

All of our young forwards have looked promising. Regardless if they wind up being top tier guys they'll be a pain in the ass to play against.

Nico, Zacha and Mojo all scored within first 8 mins. Zacha with 2. Really hoping her carries this over.

Who gets 2nd line right wing? Stafford? One of the young guys?

Don't know how preseason works, but I am seeing this right... we are playing Ott and Islanders tonight at the same time???? How is this possible, did they split the teams lineups up??? We killed Ottawa, while losing to Islanders currently.... Explain???

Correct, we have the expanded rosters at the moment. I believe 11 guys need to be cut in the coming days.

I have to be honest, I've never noticed hockey playing split squad games. I know baseball does it all the time.

so the split games i get for free were the nj vs NYI but the real scorefest was on the NHL network(no have unless i pay lol) in nj vs ott...

I know it made sense since we had 2 local teams, but when I saw the lineups for each game, 100 percent wished the game against the Sens was on TV not the Isles game.

My guess so far for the top 6 is:

Hall-Zacha-Palmieri
Mojo-Henrique-Stafford

After that I have no clue. Lot of good guys for the bottom 6, some talented guys will be going to juniors or AHL.

man you really have to wonder what this team would be looking like if lou was around the last 3 years. brunner? ryder? clowe? multiple PTO's. now? we have YOUTH SPEED HUNGER. not some lazy ass vet filled roster trying to collect one last check before they retire.

zacha has been on a tear and thats great because he really should be stepping up with zajac out. prove your the right pick at #6. nico looks like a lock for the season and he should be. i rather him be up here playing and learning and growing instead of the minors or worse in euro.

mueller looks like a great find which i suspected he would be he fits exactly what this team needs and they saw how he was buried on the sharks.

mojo? what else can be said but damn that was highway robbery.

Nico has looked very good, but you can tell that he still needs to pack on some muscle. His IQ and skill set is there, he just needs his body to catch up. It's like the guys who go NCAA, they add on 20 lbs of muscle freshmen year.

If I'm our coach I'm definitely starting Nico at 3C. There's no reason not to give the kid some sheltered minutes. He can still work on a PP unit.

My biggest thing is to use Palm/Hall/Rico/MoJo split 2 and 2. As of now, Zacha and Stafford are the other guys there.

You could also do something like:

Hall-Zacha-Palms
Mojo-Rico-Quenville
???-Nico-Stafford
