Ummm...Cannon missed practice with a concussion...that is the worse news we could get, is that he is not playing. Watt, Clowney will have a field day with those guys on the end. We will have to keep Gronk and Allen in. No way this ends up good if Cannon is out.

Gronk was at practice, but according to the Patriots injury report, he was a DNP.

Ebner and Slater were back, so that is nice.

This game should be a defensive battle IMO. Hou OL is not good and we have Flowers and Wise on the ends who should tear up Hou OT. Gillmore on Hopkins 1on1 should do the trick. Not sure if Hou even has a healthy TE for this game. Stop the run, might be nice to get HT back. NE should win, but man....gonna be tough.

Read somewhere Gronk was working with Allen on blocking today. BB and Josh recognize they'll have to double and chip JJ.

Yep we really need Cannon in there. Even with him, Brady is going to get hit. I hope the Patriots have had enough practice with their receiver-lite offense..

The new WR at Patriots practice is indeed Riley McCarron, a source confirms. Was released from Texans' practice squad on Sept. 18.

Calm down.............BB always plays what he's doing very close to the vest. He's keeping both Solder and cannon pretty much sidelined so that Houston can't set up their defense. It also forces Houston to over prepare for a running attack which means that they'll have to bring the safeties in closer. Romeo Crennel is a Belichick student and Bill knows what Romeo likes to do. I'm certain that he'll have everything planned and he'll be ready for whatever Crennel has to offer.

My guess is that Brady will start over center and hand the ball off to see if the Texans can stop the run. If they can't, the patriots will force them back on their heels and just as they start to stop or slow down the running game, he start with the quick passes.

The Texans are just not very good at all offensively. The Patriots handled the Saints quite easily and I can't see the Texans scoring 20 points. My feeling is that the Texans won't be prepared for what the patriots will do early and fall behind 10, 13 or 17 to 0. The Pats will be up 23-10 at the half and O'Brien will try to force the passing game to catch up. Final score will be somewhere around 30-13 Pats.

BB just released Demarcus Ayers to make room for their new QB on the PS. He had a chance to stick with the Steelers PS but passed it up to go with the Pats. He may be rethinking that decision now. I had hoped BB would release one of the four DBs they still have on the squad. The "Wes Welker clone" (Riley McCarron) may eventually wind up being the punt returner and heir apparent to Amendola.

Solder is getting schooled... pretty substandard performance.

Probably the last year in a Patriots uniform.

Solder has given up two huge hits/sacks on Brady. He sucks against a speed rusher.

I blame Belichick for not beefing up the offensive line 3 years ago. The O-Line will cost this team a chance to go very far this year. Gillislee has been chipping Watt for LaWaddle.

The backs and receivers apparently don't know where the first down marker is. So far, three passes on 3rd down have been short of the marker. One was saved by a penalty but Gronk got 4 instead of six and Lewis got three instead of 7.

Defense is compromised with Rowe/Gilmour's absence, what else is new.

Hard to watch this unit continue struggle, at least there is some pressure, the back end is now a dumpster fire.

I have a nasty feeling about the rest of this game.....Houston is cranking up against Brady and the heat doesn't seem to be bothering them. The Pats appear to be wilting. It's 95 on my back deck so it has to be near 100 on that field.
