ND 2-1

Ok guys a win is a win and I will take it. 1st half was bad. 2nd half what a difference.
Score Card:

QB- Wimbush- I dont know about this guy. He can run the hell out of the ball but his passing is Poor. He really needs to work on this because will stack the box and make him throw for us to win. I thought he would be better. He has a Big arm but accuracy is really bad.. He throws high a lot. The Positive man 4 rushing TDs and another over 100 yards rushing. Grade C+

RB- Well I guess I should just put Adams. The guy is a 1 man show. What a game. He was the offense in the 1st half. Grade A+

WRs- Someone needs to step up. Even ESB looks bad. Now to be fair Wimbush is also a Big reason for this.
Grade: F

TE- Mack showed up a little today. It was good to see. Made 1-2 good catches. Grade; C

OLine- 1st 4 to 5 series they looked bad but man they turned it around. Overall they did a Great job in the 2nd half. Grade: B+

Defense: Im just going to talk about the unit as a whole. Man right now they are the better side of the ball on this ND team. I dont have much negative to say. They did their part and they saved this ND team in the 1st half. I still wish we can get more pressure on the QB but overall great job. Grade B+

Special Teams- Kickoffs; So bad. I dont know why they made the change. Punting: not a great day. 2-3 bad punts. Grade: D

Overall: A win is a win and we will take it. This team needs to get a lot better to compete with a good team. Offense needs to get better. We need to be able to throw to win against a good team. Another Positive the Red Zone Offense is so much better then last year. Grade: C+

That is a problem to me he doesn't need to be a one man show, don't get me wrong he's a great player but they need to get the other backs in the game so he doesn't wear down.

I agree 100%. Dexter Williams showed why he should get some reps. Every time he is in the game he scores I feel like. I dont get. Something behind the scenes.

Also Stepherson not playing and in this game didnt dress, is very odd. WR's are struggling(ESB looks bad this year), We could really use him. I dont get it. Kelly needs to explain himself on this one.

Has to be an off field or attitude issue or something. He'll probably end up transferring. Maybe he already has told them he is and doesn't want to get hurt playing this year so they are honoring that who knows.

Agree with all points. WR's are very concerning. I thought they would be a real strength on this offense and one of our deepest units. They've been nonexistent. Not sure how much of the blame is to be placed on them, or Wimbush's completely erratic passing.

I love a RB who can rush for 4 TD's. I want my QB passing for 4 TD's. It just feels a little one dimensional... and by a little, I mean... completely.

You can beat the Temple's and the BC's of the world with that mess, but we will struggle against anyone who's remotely decent unless we can improve our passing game significantly.

Ironically, I feel like if we had truly committed to this type of quick hitting run game (as opposed to that slow to develop option read) against Georgia we would have had a better chance of winning that game.

Dexter Williams is a real weapon. If he can't pick up the pass rush, then put him in for non-passing situations. BC knew we were going to run the ball late in the 4th and they still couldn't stop him. He can definitely spell Adams from time to time so he has something left late in games and late in the season and Williams is a danger to break a long run every time he touches the ball. Simply put, ND has to give him more touches than he's received the last two weeks.

I doubt they'd keep him on scholarship if he said he's transferring. Certainly if he's refusing to play because he wants to transfer.

On the kicking I heard it's by design they're lobbing it up short of the goal line. They're trying to avoid the ball starting at the 25 so the thinking is, force a return and gave the coverage a chance to stop before the 20. Problem is, I have yet to see it work.

They're better off just taking the touchback and preventing the big play.

The punting game was atrocious until the second half.

I do too but nothing has come up regarding why he isn't on the field, so I was just throwing ideas out as to possible reasons he isn't playing. I wouldn't be shocked if he transfers.

Biggest issues: KO/P/ST are so fucking bad. We can't throw the ball, WR's seem uninterested because all Wim does is run. Not enough TE usage.

Kinda sad how our QB runs more than our RB's... It may sound really cool for him to get Rush TD's but I'm sure the rest of the team hates it.

I would have thought he would have before the season started. He wasn't getting reps in fall camp.

It was mentioned in an earlier thread that Stepherson was suspended for the first four games. I think it was a marajuana issue. Hopefully he makes it back and can help out the WR corps.

I agree, I think its weird Dexter isnt playing. There are 2 options; 1) he is in the dog house or 2) Coaching sucks.

I agree that Dexter should be getting more time, even if it's just to rest Adams. As for Stepherson, if the reports were accurate, he will be sitting one more game.

I am not overly concerned about Dexter not getting his touches, right now. Adams is just flat out a beast and could literally be the best RB in college (IMO). Then we have WIm running when he is not in there. The running game is fine, so why mess with it. Keep the kid fresh and save him for when they need him.

The issue I have is that Adams has some injury history dating back to High School and if you have another player capable of spelling him without losing a whole lot they why the hell aren't you doing it especially against a defense like Georgie is is likely the best they will see all season.
