Hate doing this but always seem too.

We ran into the tough Georgia team and we lost.

Does are offense need to play better: Probably
Did our OL have a bad game" Yah

But this is not the end of the season. There is Still hope Gentleman. There are alot of times teams run into tougher and lose one but still go into bowls or playoffs

We need to keep this hope till the Fat lady signs and boys....

She ain;t even warming them pipes yet....

In fact she just gotta bed this morning.

This is not the end. Let's use this as a beautiful beginning Can JF get a Amen

Notre Dame losing at home to a second string true freshman QB. No big deal! We still MIGHT make a bowl game like every other shitty school out there. That's the program we are now I guess.

Because the QB position isn't a big deal right? If their starter was out there they beat us by 2 or 3 touchdowns. They left plays on the field. We didn't. We played a pretty good game against a team that didn't play very well and lost at home. Was there really any doubt they were the better team overall? As a Notre Dame fan what is a an acceptable season for you from a coach in his what...7th or 8th year? Is 6-6 a good season? Cause we may make it there.

This is what i meant. I Still have faith in 11-1 or 10-2.

But you keep thinking 6-6. Seems like a good fit got ya

I wasn't impressed with the late play calling or the play calling in general it was pretty piss poor. No doubt they have the best defense Notre Dame will play all season but even so the play calling was bad. I don't even think Dexter Williams got a carry unless he was suspended the coaches need to be slapped around for that.

I don't have faith in 11-1 or 10-2 I think 8-4 or 9-3 regular season is the likeliest out come or maybe the best case. The play calling in winning time sucked

I agree with you that the sky is not falling. In fact, 5 of the top 10 teams in the final AP Poll last year, finished with 3 losses.

However, we've still got tough opponents in U$C, Miami and Stanford and other opponents that could certainly surprise us (NC, NC State, etc.).

While the season is not over, I do have a few concerns. One being that this was a winnable game. In BK's 8th season we should be able to beat a second year head coach with a true freshman qb making his first start, at HOME! If we can't, that is a problem regardless of the fact that Georgia appears to have a legit defense. This was our chance to beat a good, but not elite SEC team and take the next step as a program. We missed a big opportunity.

My other big concern is that BK led teams seem unable to make half time adjustments let alone in-game adjustments. I know he's not currently calling the plays, but at ND, his teams have always been to slow to adjust (think Clemson 2 years ago). I feel like he's married to this read option that works well against lesser to mid level teams, but when we face teams with real defensive speed, the plays are too slow to develop. Last night, Georgia defenders spent as much time in the ND backfield as our RB's. By the time Wimbush had decided what to do, Georgia had penetrated the line and there was nowhere to go. IMO we needed to go to a more quick hitting running game where Adams and Williams would have a chance to hit a hole and be gone rather than dancing around in the backfield while they're swarmed and tackled, or fight for a 2 yard gain. I felt like we needed to hit them in the mouth, establish our running game and then the passing game MAY have opened up a little more and made life more manageable for Wimbush and the WR's.

On a more positive note, the defense played well enough to win. I have been impressed with our tackling, more so than any recent season I can remember. The Def was also decisive and aggressive. Yoon looked to be back in form after missing a few in Game 1.

GO IRISH!

The Georgia L isn't a big deal to me. We do Georgia would be one of the best teams we play. The only team on our schedule that is clearly better than UGA is USC. They're the same caliber team as Stanford and Miami. What bothers me about this L is Wimbush. I'm not sure if we can expect him to win any games for us and that sucks.

I agree with you. 9-3 is hard to see. Honestly think 8-4 is the best case scenario for us which isn't terrible. I would be satisfy with that. But 7 wins or less and we need to get Kelly out of here.

But yeah that play calling sucked. I had mentioned it on the game thread but the 3 straight runs called on our drive in the middle of the 4th was stupid and cost us the game. You're up 2 with 8+ to go in the 4th. That is not the time to call 3 straight runs and give the ball back to UGA. No surprise that UGA went down the field and got the game winning fg after that series

Georgia is the better football team. I wouldn't say we played a pretty good game. I have no idea what game you were watching. The defense played a great game. The offense played like shit. Special teams was solid. This was a C or C- type of game. As I said before Georgia is probably the 2nd best team we'll play behind USC this yea. So Notre Dame played good but Georgia didn't? LOL once again what game did you watch?

Georgia is going to end the season 10-2 or 11-1 and face Bama in the SEC title game
