Sumlin and Gus were easy for me becuase I seen a thing the other day where they were the only active SEC coaches to beat Saban.

They were easy for me because I was at the Kick Six, and I absolutely hate Manziel.

Seems to have been deleted, what was it? Was it about Calvin Ridley?
It was saying Rashaan Evans was carted off the field during the scrimmage. I can't find anything about it now so maybe it was bullshit.

It better be bullshit. We don't need any injuries.

Urban is the one that did it twice.

Malzhan and Sumlin are the only 2 from the SEC, but Mark Richt won in 2007 with Georgia.

Dabo last year obviously.

Kyle Wittingham in 2008 with Utah.

All 6 right?

Figured out how I guessed it:

Only 7 active head coaches have a win over Saban.

Gus Malzahn
Hugh Freeze
Kevin Sumlin
Mark Richt
Kyle Whittingham
Urban Meyer
Dabo Swinney

Other cool stats:

Inside the numbers: Only 7 active head coaches have wins against Nick Saban at Alabama

It was 7, then Hugh Freeze knocked it down to 6.

Bama posted this yesterday, and while it's late by a day. It still gives me goosebumps.

None of the QB's that transferred landed starting jobs.

Doesn't speak well of Kiffin as a QB developer.

Am I the only one who thinks we played a decent game this past weekend all things considered?

Apparently, even though we just beat one of the best teams in the country, we are doomed as long as Hurts is QB and going to lose multiple games this year.

Eh, I'm on the fence about how good I actually feel. Glad we won, and the way we did was great.

However, Jalen's run first mentality didn't look to have improved, and we could not finish in the Red Zone. Granted, I know this was against FSU, but the fact remains the offense was not impressive.

The rumor coming into the game was the FSU's O-line was their weakness, but we only got a 4 man rush on 1 or 2 times, when particular last year we were doing it consistently. Having to rely on safety and LB blitzes could be scary in games against Auburn that have a really good QB and speed.

Lastly, why we can't a decent FG Kicker amazes me. Adam was supposed to be the man, and instead he left a lot out there to be desired. The new guy, Papados, continue our recent tradition of being unable to kick a FG.

I know this seems rather doom and gloom, but there were a TON of positives. However, it was a particular incredible game played by Bama.

Can't stand in a pocket that doesn't exist.

FSU played in max protect all night leaving 6 and sometimes 7 people to block our rush. They did great.

College kickers gonna college kicker. Tiffin was money his senior year, but before that he had some really rough games at times.

I agree with the lack of a pocket, but do you know how dangerous he'll be (and healthier), if he starts to run, keeping his head up, and throws it to the Receiver that opens once the d commits to run? Maybe FSU held their ground, but that's what I want to see more of.

Again, I know FSU has an elite defense, so I'm interested to see out against Ole Miss since the next two games should be cake walks.

Listen, recruit a soccer play to kick FG"s and just be done with it. I mean Papdos missed a medium range FG straight on.

He did that multiple times against FSU - and completed them.

I think that soccer thing only works in movies.

On a positive note, I can only remember once in the game when there was a blown coverage, and it was their TE down the middle for 20 or so yards.

It's amazing how many players we can lose and still come back with this kind of defense. I thought we rotated a lot more than usual, and at times were playing 3rd string players in big moments.

So I guess now everyone's gone from bitching about Saban to bitching about our defense....because our 2nd and 3rd string gave up some late game points.

I kind of miss the good ole days when people were just happy to win instead of all this chicken little, the sky is falling shit.

Do they really not understand how good we have it right now?

Defense is pretty banged up and just needs to get healthy. Luckily we have the easiest schedule I can remember so it shouldnt matter.
