I wasn't listening today, but I guess Lord Linden was on the cesspool and was asked if the Canucks had the 1st overall pick if they would have selected Hischier or Patrick. Linden replied with "Neither".

I wouldn't put too much stock into it. When the Leafs drafted Rielly 5th overall Burke said he would've taken him 1st overall if they had that pick over guys like Yakupov and Murray and Griffin Reinh...

K maybe things work out for the best.

Love how on the cesspool Pratt pretty much guaranteed Kerfoot would be a Canuck as it was his home town. Kerfoot signs in Colorado and linden says the main reason was he didn't want to play in his home town... Ah Pratt.

Canucks among teams in mix for Vanek
Cory WilkinsAug 29 2017, 5:08 PM

Thomas Vanek's next stop could be Vancouver, as the Canucks are among the teams interested in the unrestricted free agent, his agent Brian Bartlett told Rick Dhaliwal of News 1130 Sports on Tuesday.

Vanek, 33, spent much of last season with the Detroit Red Wings, where he netted 38 points in 48 games. He then added another 10 points in 20 contests following a trade to the Florida Panthers.

A move to Vancouver would mark Vanek's fourth stop in three seasons, after he spent the 2015-16 campaign with the Minnesota Wild.

The native of Austria has tallied 333 goals and 364 assists in 885 career games. Vanek's best season came in 2006-07, when he put up 84 points while with the Buffalo Sabres.

Just one question..... why?

Not a good fit for either side, which means he's looking for any pay check he can get, And doesn't give a shit about winning.
Only interest is a cheap 1 year deal that they can flip out for a pick at the deadline.

His agent reported vancouvers interest, translation: Vancouver probably called with little interest and he's using it as interest building?
