bottom half of the West playoffs is hard to predict with Utah losing heyward, denver getting milsap, pelicans in general, Clips without Paul....Portland....Memphis.....all these teams are so close together.

East:
1) Boston 60-22
2) Cleveland 57-25
3) Washington 55-27
4) Toronto Raptors 50-32
5) Milwaukee Bucks 48-34
6) Miami Heat 45-37
7) Philadelphia 76ers 40-42
8) Charlotte Hornets 38-44

I'm shaky on the 76ers, this is of course if they stay healthy. Which is a significant IF.

1st round:
Celtics 4 Hornets 2
Cavs 4 76ers 0
Wizards 4 Heat 3
Bucks 4 Raptors 2

2nd round:
Celtics 4 Bucks 3
Cavs 4 Wizards 1

ECF:
Cavs 4 Celtics 2

West:
1) Golden State 68-14
2) San Antonio 62-20
3) OKC 59-23
4) Houston 57-25
5) Minnesota 54-28
6) Denver 51-31
7) LAC 45-37
8) Utah Jazz 44-38

Houston gave up some depth to acquire CP3. Meanwhile, George is a really good number 2 and covers up a lot of holes on OKC's offense that they were missing. I also like their acquisition with Patrick Peterson and I think they end up in the 2nd round of the playoffs losing in 7 to the Spurs.

Playoffs:

1st round:
Warriors 4 Jazz 0
Spurs 4 Clippers 1
Thunder 4 Nuggets 1
Rockets 4 Twolves 2

2nd round:
Warriors 4 Rockets 1
Spurs 4 Thunder 3

3rd round:
Warriors 4 Spurs 2

***Finals***
Warriors 4 Cavs 1

A lot of people are still banking on the Clippers and Jazz making the playoffs despite losing their best players.

Clippers should make it IMO. Still a solid roster. As for Utah, it is a toss up. I can see about 3 or 4 teams making the playoffs. On 2nd thought, I would probably replaced Utah with Portland. Just noticed I left them out.

i'd probably lean towards Portland right now. just my opinion, though...

as for the Clips, not all that sold on their current line-up...

Not predicting the Playoffs because of the Jinx factor.

Couple thoughts on the West
-Think the Warriors will lose a few more games this year than last year due to the talent pool increasing in the West.
-Thunder and Rockets should be jockeying for 2nd place all year. Spurs meanwhile coast and I could actually see them being as far down as 6th place depending on how much rest they want to give to Pau, Manu and Parker.
-If the Blazers are healthy, I think they're a formidable team. Nurkic will be the key to their success. They played incredibly well after acquiring him. If he's a healthy and they have a full off-season to gel, they could be really good.
-I have the Pelicans sneaking in as the last team. They'll be competing with the Nuggets and Jazz for that last spot, but I think the sheer talent of the Pelicans has them making it.

East:
-Really wanted to go with the Wizards as the top seed, but just don't feel enough confidence to do so. I think they will be the biggest challenge to the Cavs, not the Celtics. Celtics just don't match up well with the Cavs, IMO.
-Really surprised no one picked the Pistons so far. I think Avery Bradley was an incredible pick up for the team and a stabilizing force. The key to the season will be two guys though: Reggie Jackson and Tobias Harris. If they can somehow just turn down their ball hog levels from like a 10 to an 8, this team could do really big things.
-Heat and Hornets will likely battle it out for the last two spots and I think they eek out the 76ers due to the 76ers overall youth and development.

You're way too low on the Spurs IMO. I have so much trust in Pop that I pencil the Spurs in for 55 wins every year.

Shit I forgot about Rudy Gay too. I was just thinking in my head that everyone got better at the top, while the Spurs were pretty stagnant. I don't think the Spurs will care at all about this upcoming season in terms of wins. I have them that low because I feel like the competition in the West has ramped up. I knocked the Warriors down because of this and think the Spurs will do this too. I feel like it'll be much more important to the Rockets and Thunder to win games and show both CP3 and PG13 that they're great organizations with contention ability. Spurs will be in coast mode to the playoffs as they usually are, when they'll be at their best.

Ah shit, I completely forgot about Portland as well. I'd put them as the 6 spot and move the Jazz out of the playoffs. Same result playoff-wise though.

LOL @ his idiotic prediction about the Lakers...

that's called wishful thinking...

No shit.

In prediction #5 he says the Lakers and Kings will fight for worst team in the West.

Then in prediction #13 he says the Lakers won't win a playoff game for the 6th year in row.

Well, no shit. If prediction #5 happens, it's only logical that #13 would happen as well.
