1.2 billion for the marlins......that must be one hell of sweet heart stadium deal

even though the numbers say 20k average at home i would put to closer to 12k in reality

I sure hope one of his first moves is to change the uniforms and logo.

Meanwhile, don't know why people think the Marlins are such a bad franchise. They've won 2 World Series in their short existence. Mathematically they are one of the most successful franchises in all of baseball.

Nobody thinks they're a bad baseball franchise. They're a failing franchise because no matter what they do, they can't draw dick to the stadium. They built a brand new, state-of-the-art stadium and it blew up in their face. It didn't help attendance in any way, shape or form. Worst attendance in the National League. Floria isn't selling because it's a booming organization to own. lol

no, they're one of the luckiest. They have only two playoff appearances and they've never won the NL East in their existence. Even in 1997 and 2003, they were 9-10 games back of the first place teams. Their franchise has a winning percentage of .470 and only six seasons above .500. Flags fly forever, but it's not like they've been perennial contenders.

I don't remember much of the 97 series. However, I do remember the Cubs really outplaying the Marlins, and then deciding in the 8th inning of Game 6 that they didn't feel like winning the National League after all.

Not me. He's a punk. Having the old regime do his dirty work.

Classless. Just like Jeter always was when the camera's weren't on him.
anyone that pisses off Loria is OK in my book.
