What would you wish to build if you had the opportunity? I've been watching too many car TV shows recently and several ideas have run through my mind. While I've always been a fan of the muscle car era, I'm getting more interested in the '40s-'50s era cars. Add a bulletproof big block, smooth transmission, a/c, and a nice riding suspension (possibly touring). Take it to some shows/cruise-ins with the family.

Love it.

Is that powder coating or rhino liner in the engine bay?

It's a 6.6L out of a T/A. I wanted it to look period correct so the Oil Bath is from a 56 or 57 Chevy. It's not functional and acts as an air filter now.

That's a great idea about the air filter.
Looks like a new A/C compressor.
Did you rebuild the 400 and if you did, did you put it back stock or build it up some??

That entire front end of the engine with the one belt drive and idler pulley is a nice touch. At least that's what it looks like.

And is that Indian Head on the back drivers side fender the gas cap?

The A/C was not quite finished at that time. Still not completed at this time either. :gaah:

The high/low pressure lines were still being routed when the shop flooded. Then I fell off that ladder, then I got that infection....

Today, btw, is my last day of infusions. I am doing the second to last one as I type this. One more this evening and I'm done.

As for the engine, it has a Competition Cam in it, headers. It sounds a lot meaner than it is. Car weighs a ton.

The gas cap is behind the gas cap door with trim around two edges.

On the hood is the Chieftain head. Yes, it lights up....

I've always had a goofy interest in converting a rollercoaster train into a motorized vehicle.

I always liked the 1963 Vette split window myself...

They did a 68 Vette on Wheeler Dealers and I saw it Sat. morning. Looked sa-weet! It reminded me of the '72 Mustang I drove to work for a couple years. That vintage is SO easy to work on and cheap, too.

I used to have project cars but stopped. They just never got completed, 1991 TBird SuperCoupe money pit....

But I saw one of these the other day, superb condition, dropped, fat rubber, surf boards on top. Very nice. The one I saw was yellow.
