That doesn't scream closer material to me. You want someone who will slam the door without giving the opponent a chance, not someone that will have you reaching for your heart pills as a closer.

He's been an adventure, but effective.

But they should be moving him, possibly Santana.

No, you can't be 2 games out at the deadline and trade two of your best pitchers especially after sucking for the last couple years.

Kintzler has been literally nothing like Mitch Williams... Every team wants that closer, do you watch baseball?

Yeah, I understand the message it would send, but neither are part of the long term plans. Sure, we got Santana 2 more years, but what's he going to have left? Kintzler in all likelihood, won't be back next year, anyway.

Neither would bring in anything of significance and scouts have probably noticed Ervin has returned to earth. On a good team, Ervin is a 3rd starter, maybe 2nd

Kintzler gone, Santana and Dozier before the deadline?

Didn't take long to go from buyers to sellers. Guess I can't blame them, it's not like the twins will be competing for the title in the next 20-30 years.

So... we got back a Low A "24 year old 'prospect'" for Kintzler? That's the best we could get?

Dozier is pretty upset that the Twins turned into sellers.... I understand his frustration, but this team was going backwards fast.
