I still think Cox needs more criticism. 13 consecutive division titles is impressive, no doubt. But only one trophy in that stretch? Come on...

It was 14 straight.

And Bobby was a little overrated, but you do have to look at the circumstances a bit.

A young, worst to first team in 91 that lost in 7 games in one of the best WS ever.

Blue Jays won back to back titles.

Won in 95.

And while we should have won in 96, there was a bit of a buzzsaw known as the Yankees dynasty that got in the way.

But there are no excuses for lack of playoff success in the early 2000's.

The Giants should probably blow the ship up. They have had a great run that most fans would be proud of.

Unfortunately, there is not a trade value that they would be willing deal, on that roster. And what they do have, comes with fine print.

If the FO has balls, they will trade Bum. A rebuilding team does not need an Ace, especially one whose real value comes in the post season. They could almost rebuild the roster by trading him alone.

Since 2010, the BA is 5-3 in championship games/series'. That is fucking insane.
Pretty damn good. I'm gonna make this about Boston now. Right on San Fran's heels with a 4-3 championship game/series record since 2010. And from February 2002-June 2008, Boston went 6-1 in championships.

Just kind of depressing as a Braves fan. We've made up a lot of ground on the Nats and still sit 9 games back and are even further out of the wild card race. April is important, boys.

I'd give you an "I Love you, Man" rating, but I just can't feel sympathy for a fanbase who saw their team win 3 World Series titles in this decade and then the team finally comes back to earth.

All dynasties must come to an end.

There's only one dynasty in MLB, there are some little ones that pop up now and then and once in a while you get "modern day dynasty' like the Giants (who couldn't string two together) but over the course of history...there is but one.

I'd rather have a "modern day dynasty"

Technically, neither was calling that black cop a "cocksucking nig/ger" as he was arresting me for "public indecency" (is it really indecenct when everyone enjoys the view?), but I did it anyway...

(Luckily, you can't get maced when you're mean on the internet)

An 11??? Holy shit. I had no clue it was that bad. I apologize.

I always thought an 11 on the unforgivable scale was reserved for raping your best friend's sister and then leaving her dead body in a ditch, or using two frosting packets on one toaster strudel so the next person has to eventually eat a toaster strudel without any frosting.

da fuq is wrong with you??

3 in 5 is a dynasty.

See if you can tell the difference between these two five-year runs:

1996 Won World Series

1997 Lost ALCS

1998 Won World Series

1999 Won World Series

2000 Won World Series

2010 Won World Series

2011 Missed Playoffs

2012 Won World Series

2013 Missed Playoffs

2014 Won World Series

Got it?

See the words "missed playoffs"?

That's the difference.

The Yankees of the late 90's were a dynasty too, but you, know, I was born in 91, so I don't remember it all that well.

The Yankees I know have won 1 World Series in the past 16 years.

Yeah, they're having a poor season for sure. Got to wonder if they soon starting trading talent; Someone like Posey would be an attractive commodity for a lot of teams.

Posey is the face of the franchise. He ain't going anywhere. Rumors say that Posey, Bum and Craw are all untouchable.

I believe it would make a lot of sense to trade Bum, though.

He'd be welcome back home in Dixie.

I think he would be welcomed in any clubhouse in the bigs. He has the image of a bit of an ass, but he apparently is a big kid who just horseplays in the clubhouse.
