The F-1 boys and are off to Baku for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix this week. The dominant themes are still in play and Hamilton returned two weeks hence with a win. Let's see if Vettel can answer or will Hamilton get two-in-a-row.

Hamilton takes the pole from Bottas followed by Raikkonen and Vettel.

I'll go with Hamilton for the win, Bottas second, Vettel third, and Raikkonen fourth.

Hard to believe Lewis or Bottas won't win. Tires seem to hold and they were in a class of their own today.

Also hard to believe in Red Bull.

Vettel seemed lost. Then put in a last effort in Q2 to be relevant. He may not podium.

Hamilton
Bottas
Raikkonen
Verstappen

And finally Stroll has a good qualifying. Out does his teammate and finishes 8th.

But pipped by Ocon I think for 7th.

On second thought, I'll go with Hamilton, Bottas, Raikkonen, Vettel. Final selection.

Ricciardo is hanging on in first but Hamilton in fifth is turning the fastest laps of any of the top seven.

Wow! Ricciardo takes it, followed by Bottas, and newcomer Stroll for third. Stroll is the youngest rook to take a podium finish. Vettel holds off Hamilton by 0.2 seconds for fourth. Hamilton comes home fifth.

Quite the race.

I don't think the dust has settled on the Hamilton-Vettel incident.

Stroll didn't put a foot wrong all race.

Storming drive from Bottas. Got fortunate getting his lap back but did the most with his good fortune.

:L My way too early projections almost paid off if not for Bottas passing Stroll at the line

That race was an absolute collection of absurd things happening, and tempers are higher than ever now

Hamilton and Vettel were so friendly but hate each other's guts now, and it will be so much fun

on the other side of their garages Bottas and Raikkonen don't like each other either

then there's Ocon vs Perez and Verstappen vs car parts

I don't know if I've ever seen a race where like 10 drivers in the field could think "if this one event didn't happen I could have won the race"

I mean we seriously could have had a Force India 1-2 if not for their collision or even a Williams 1-2 if not for the failure on Massa's car (the failing car caused him to be slow which allowed Ricciardo to pass both him and Stroll on the restart)

Magnussen even had the Haas in position for a potential podium, though unfortunately the Haas was pretty slow around Baku, their pace was only better than the Mclaren's and Sauber's all weekend.

I'll won't be surprised if Haas gets a podium before the year is out. They are pretty close.

Yes they certainly could, if a track suits them well enough they're faster than the Toro Rossos, from there they just need the right events to happen.
