‘Heartbroken’ Saunders comes to grips with career-ending injury

I’m not planning to transfer,” he said. “I feel at home in West Virginia. I love Morgantown and the relationships I’ve built with the people here.”

Already inquiring about the chance to eventually become a graduate assistant coach, Saunders hopes to stay involved with the game that has consumed him for years.

I feel for this kid. Says a lot about his toughness that he could have thrown through such an issue.

Once again, Dana cannot recruit HS QB's worth a shit. No wonder he was hot on the Miami transfer...

Glad he was able to come to grips with his injury and make the right decision. Some players live in the moment and something like playing catch with your kids later may not rank high on their list right now. Glad Dana was able to keep his scholarship active and not discard the kid like a piece of meat.

Treatment of this kid... keeping him on full scholarship... is why Dana is an embarrassment to our great university!

That kind of short term decision..will be measured in long term gains! Don't think that for a minute doesn't resonate with a kid being recruited..those who come in and say they are in it with you from thick or thin...well Dana put his money where his mouth is..AWESOMENESS!

I knew Poppy was a bologna fan. I just recall Poppy and Rusher speaking of different brands of bologna. I only know Oscar and Eckrich. Those 2 Jokers were talking about gourmet types of bologna.

I can't see either of them two spending anything extra on gourmet... more like Natty Light or Keystone Beer types...

Back in the day, my Dad had an oil and gas business. From the time I was able to run a weed eater and wrench rods on a service rig, I was out working for him in the summers. There used to be a little country store/post office that had deli lunch meat that they sliced to order. We would stop there some mornings and get a loaf of bread and a pound of bologna for our lunch. Dad called it "Oil Field Steak" lol...Great memories that I'll never forget!
